Public drug use is not someone’s personal choice with only personal effects. Allowing it creates high stakes, desperate situations where people get hurt and killed.
Waymos are 80% less likely to get into a serious crash than human drivers. An 80% reduction in car crash deaths in the US would mean more lives saved than if you eliminated all homicides.

China is blocking European telecom hardware from its networks, while the EU allows China's Huawei.
The CCP is systematically squeezing out all western tech companies while expecting open access for its own tech. All of which spies on the citizens in western democracies.
The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment index has moved down to 55, a reading below 99% of historical data points going back to 1952.
But at the same time, US Retail Sales grew 4.8% over the last year, outpacing inflation by 1.8%.
We’ve never seen a disconnect this wide between what the US consumer is saying and what they are doing.

BREAKING:
France has seized the shadow tanker PUSHPA off the coast of France.
It’s suspected of launching drones that closed down Copenhagen Airport a week ago
In Germany, mass drone flights over critical infrastructure have been detected — Spiegel, Bild.
In Schleswig-Holstein, suspicious drone flights were recorded over the shipyard in Kiel, a hospital, a power plant, the parliament, and an oil refinery.
The drones were moving on "parallel courses," which could indicate mapping of the area — similar flights were also detected in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania over military installations and the port of Rostock.
A law is being drafted in the Bundestag that would allow the army to shoot down suspicious drones even outside of military installations.
But take your time.
The importance of drone defense is also entirely new information. 😂😂😂

IMF data, cited by Apollo’s Torsten Slok, shows that “the share of euros in global FX reserves is not going up and remains low at 20%” (please see chart below).
In other words, the euro has not benefited from concerns in some parts of the world about the dollar—concerns that have instead been reflected in growing central bank purchases of gold, which have helped push the precious metal to one record high after another.
