@elonmusk@Timcast To be fair, unless a state has at least 5 or so districts (just an estimate, I didn't do the math), it's not really statistically anomalous to lose them all. But yes, gerrymandering has (almost) always been part of the game.
@HSurfdog@Timcast None of the above. Wokeism was in charge. Call it a mind virus, a trans-personal agent, an egregore, a demon, whatever. Everyone in that administration was either possessed by wokeism or willing to act like it for political power.
@christykmylove@Timcast His view is the logical conclusion of the pro-abortion argument, just like gender ideology was the logical conclusion of 3rd wave feminism.
@GigaBasedDad@elonmusk I love C.S. Lewis. The more I thought about this quote, the better it got, because the demons rejoiced at Christ's death, too, and look how that turned out for them. For Christians, death doesn't take you out of the fight, it's just a field promotion.
@Timcast I agree with the sentiment behind choosing "no", but I don't want the government to have the power to demand that peaceful protestors show proof of citizenship or be arrested. How about a compromise: Any non-citizen caught rioting gets deported.
@FoxNews Well, yeah. People tend to become like their spouse over time. If you wed yourself to the spirit of the age, you become like it: tyrannical, erratic and miserable.
@TennysonsCaddy@annielcrawford I think it depends on your level of analysis. You're judging based on its impact on society as a whole. Others might take it as "Is this morally neutral in my life?" The answer might still be no (that was my answer), but I think there's room for discussion.
@annielcrawford Wow, that's a really nuanced question. I'd love to see how people define "morally neutral". Or "technology", for that matter. Should be a good discussion.
@seamus_coughlin "For desert was always finite: you could do so much to the criminal and no more. Remedial treatment, on the other hand, need have no fixed limit; it could go on till it had effected a cure, and those who were carrying it out would decide when that was."
- That Hideous Strength
@anthonygalli@jk_rowling Yes, it's one application of a broader pattern. The Left, knowingly or not, is aiming at dissipation. They only support "rights" that degrade the person or group claiming them.
@libsoftiktok I think it's significant that the place they're so desperate to invade is where we take our poops. Not sure I have the insight or the desire to pick it apart (because eww), but I just took my Sunday class through 1 Sam. 24, and this feels like a demonic inversion of that story.
@marklevinshow I mean, he's right about disinformation ruining his predictions, he's just wrong about which side it's coming from. Tim Pool (and a bunch of other non-Left commentators) used Lichtman's keys with accurate information and predicted a Trump win.
This is a core tell of the spirit of Ham/Nimrod/Babel (not sure on the traditional name for this demon): "The whole world had one speech and one word". When you believe you are ushering in the utopia, you are quick to hate those who stand in your way.
Why are you so angry over my pick for President?
Donβt become what you accuse the others of being. This goes to show how much people truly worship politicians.
Do we even trust God anymore?
