Just finished reading my pre-published, signed copy of “The Avian Activist”, by @profVAGRANT_MD. Never thought a book about bird flu could read like a thriller, inspire a revolution, and make me cry in the same chapter. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Confirmed. I know Ralph. Ran into him at a virology conference in Winnipeg. He was angrily emailing NIH. Said something about “gain of function my ass” and knocked over a tray of N95s. Grants definitely paused.
