@NMC_IND@PMOIndia@MoHFW_INDIA (2/n) Medical research succeeds if, MD’s and MSc, PhD’s work together. It should not be one versus the other. @NMC_IND decision to roll back the sealing of non-medical teachers in medical institutions is a retrograde step.
@NMC_IND@PMOIndia@MoHFW_INDIA (4/n) It is imperative on the part of @NMC_IND to create an eco system where MD’s and PhD’s work together and create new knowledge, encompassing discoveries from genes to systems with a powerful translation potential for clinical applications.
@NMC_IND@PMOIndia@MoHFW_INDIA (n/n) Extraordinary achievement in diagnosis and rapid development of a vaccine for #SARSCoV2 is a reflection on what medical research can accomplish within a short span. Time for MDs and PhDs to work together and NMC must roll back its decision
Sir, What is the purpose of medical MSc/PhD courses? After decades of undisputed contributions, @NMC_IND declares expiry date for it? We @NMMTA_Assn want to know exact reason behind such biased regulations. What is the fate of students pursuing medical MSc courses?
@NMC_IND For the betterment and healthy atmosphere of medical education, Medical MSc PhD's should be encouraged to take full responsibility of basic medical sciences for which they r trained & introduce a bridge course for nonclinical doctors to enable them into clinical practice
Governments usually have schemes for the oppressed & the marginalized. None for the clinical scientists in medical colleges? Is this our fate and destiny? Protesting injustice and indifference all the time? Is this how governments treat us? @PMOIndia@MoHFW_INDIA@rashtrapatibhvn
The clinical scientists with Medical MSc/PhD are always at the receiving end of injustice, discrimination, indifference, & policy paralysis. When will @mygovindia wake up to our concerns? Will there be any light at the end of the dark tunnel? @PMOIndia@narendramodi@MoHFW_INDIA
The wise parliamentarians of India too envisaged a regulatory body (@NMC_IND) with good participation of non-doctors, but eventually, the doctors lobbied hard to have their way & the government succumbed. The rest is history!! @NITIAayog@PMOIndia https://t.co/vZYRycD19C
Dear @NMC_IND, do you know why are AIIMS institutions offering medical MSc courses?
To produce teachers to teach non-clinical subjects in medical colleges
@drharshvardhan Sir, it should be a policy decision of the ministry to do justice. NMC, a body of doctors won't be impartial
NMC has succumbed to the lobby of non-clinical doctors!!
NMMTA unequivocally denounces the amended guidelines on the appointment of medical scientists as teachers in the non-clinical disciplines. This must be rolled back!! @PMOIndia@narendramodi@MoHFW_INDIA@drharshvardhan
The students pursuing Medical MSc courses across the medical colleges in India want to ask @MoHFW_INDIA minister @drharshvardhan if their future was ever taken into account? What vision does the ministry have to provide jobs, careers, and livelihood to thousands of them?

We the #BiomedicalScientists with medical https://t.co/6taXyIhEeg degree must secure a place for ourselves by accomplishments and innovations. Simply begging the government & the system is of no use. We have to build a strong community, collaborate & establish ourselves.
Too many regulations, aimed at regulating medical education may actually be counter productive. Institutions and universities must be given a free hand to innovate and compete to raise the standards. But, those running on "for-profit mode" will further degrade it. @NITIAayog
