Underrated signs of a high performer:
• They hate small talk.
• Are not okay with wasting your time.
• Do what they say they’re going to do.
• Do it with urgency.
• Are obsessed, not just interested.
What am I missing?
“No matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do your work truly and conscientiously, unknown friends will come and seek you.” — Carl Jung
More than 2x ARR in a year is rare, even in tech.
Pocket FM did just that. $400M ARR. Built in India. Now scaling globally. They nailed product-market fit, monetization that actually works, and AI as a co-creator, not a replacement. Kudos to @RohanNayak2 and @prateek1190
@PocketFM_App has now crossed $400M ARR. The first $200M took 6 years, the next came in just 12 months. AI changed everything for us.
When we started Pocket FM, the idea was to build a new entertainment format - bingeable, bite-sized audio series. We built this category in India, then scaled it to the US and Europe and today it’s part of mainstream entertainment across 20+ countries.
While building Pocket, we reimagined the entertainment playbook by pivoting to an AI-native storytelling system. At the core of this AI-native engine is our fiction writing co-pilot, trained on billions of minutes of engagement data. It enables creators to go from a raw idea to a fully dramatized series in minutes, while allowing us to rapidly identify potential blockbusters and adapt stories across languages and cultures almost instantly.
Content creation has exploded on Pocket - 300,000+ creators are now producing 80,000+ hours of content every month and this isn’t low-effort content; it’s storytelling people keep coming back to every day. AI isn’t replacing creativity, it’s unlocking it.
One creator story recently stuck with me, a first-time creator from Hyderabad whose show found an audience in the US and he made ~$50,000 (₹50 lakh) in a single month. This is democratization of storytelling.
Feels like this is just Episode 1. Many more cliffhangers ahead.
P.S. We are now free cash flow positive, at ~5% EBITDA.
Interesting venture market data summarizing 2025 (Carta):
- Average seed and Series A dilution just over 19%
-Average money raised in Q4 was high at $4.5M at seed and $13.5M at Series A
-400 tender offers (62% YoY increase) with an average offering around $54M with the median at $22M
-Average post-money valuation of companies doing tender offers was $1.55B
-Seed valuations for AI and non-AI companies were roughly the same (which I think just means all net new seed companies in 2025 were "AI companies")
-Median Series A valuation for non-AI companies was $55M and AI companies at $75M
Already seeing serious premiums to the above data so far in Q1 26....

If you're a small business owner, you have to advertise more. Period.
No one knows you exist - which is why you're not making as much as you want.
If you're not reaching out to people or making content or reaching out to people who respond to your content... you're wasting your time..
The fight you're having right now is against irrelevance.
I'm entering a period of monk mode from now to the end of 1st quarter of 2025.

Imagine your eulogy: a true reflection of your life's impact. What words do you hope to hear?
For me: "She spoke up for what she believed in, even when it wasn’t easy".
Why is speaking up so vital?
(1) Ask yourself first: "If not me, who? "
Being silent can be comfortable, but change never is.
Taking a stand is about courage and conviction.
(2) Second, if you don't speak up, who will own the narrative?
Silence grants others control over your story.
Your voice defines your legacy.
(3) Finally, speak up because you have something important to raise.
Your insights, ideas, and passions are unique.
They matter.
Make your voice heard.
What do you want to be remembered for? Define it now. Speak up.
