@MandyMathEd @mpolikoff I coordinated a symposium proposal with researchers from several different institutions. It was on black holes of research on instructional practice. It was going to be pretty awesome, and got good reviews--but was rejected. I guess we'll take our awesomeness elsewhere. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@MandyMathEd At the same time, I've definitely witnessed multiple positions being added at the administration level when there supposedly weren't funds for additional teachers/support staff. So there's something to be said about allocating funds for positions, too (like you are saying).
@MandyMathEd I question how much the lack of planning and other support for teachers (such as adequate compensation) has to do with lack of ways to fund and how much it has to do with lack of valuing the profession. I'd want to know more about that first.
