@TimetoChange@rubyetc Hi Time to Change! What are some ways that I, as a future music teacher, can support students struggling with mental health problems?
It is estimated that although 1 in 5 students experience mental health problems, as many as 80% of these students are not receiving help. We must do better! #EM203mueller
Food for thought ... sometimes jumping on the bandwagon instead of truly educating yourself on how to make a real difference limits your impact .. #EM203Mueller
Mental health access is increasingly difficult because of stigma and the belief that you can simply “try harder” to get better. Solutions must involve reducing stigma by raising awareness of mental health and believing what people say about their mental wellbeing. #EM203Mueller
A great list of mental health resources for school-aged youth who may be struggling. Using the internet to provide free resources is an excellent way to increase mental health accessibility in today’s world! https://t.co/EldDFYCBXs #EM203Mueller
Mental health problems are prevalent in high schools, without enough supports in place to properly combat them. https://t.co/iE98OtyQsx

@Em203Riley It is interesting to read the perspectives of different members of this class via their tweets. Twitter is such an engaging platform and amazing way to connect on a quicker and more personal level with classmates.
@EM203MStarr Absolutely! Education is a critical factor in preventing climate change and social media is an excellent tool to initiate working together to take action.
@EM203Adrian I completely agree! I struggle to focus when music is playing in the background, particularly when the music has lyrics. Interesting to see how the brain struggles to multitask, even thought many people believe they can!
