Come on you guys, we are severely underrating emergency medicine. Shift work sounds awesome. Want to buy a $20k bicycle for reasons? Pick up a few extra shifts. Want to take a few weeks off next month to jet ski on volcanoes in Iceland? Work extra shifts the month before.

Famine continues to claim lives in Karamoja. Amidst the difficulties, we have reached over 2500 (about 12500-25000 people) households, 1 school with over 1000 pupils, 2 feeding centres of about 350 children, 2 hospitals. But it ain't enough. @MSF @EMDoc_Ines @YN_BUDDU @SpireJim

Any reason we can’t prioritise people who graduated last year ? @RCEMevents

[Royal College of Emergency Medicine @RCollEM]

We are aware some members have had issues booking their place for the Diploma Ceremony. There was unexpectedly high demand for the event. We apologise for the inconvenience & frustration caused. We're arranging additional capacity & will accommodate as many graduands as possible.

These are some of the disturbing photos about hunger in Karamoja. Many have died and many will continue to die from starvation.
I'm appealing to my networks to send something to help these people. About £25 will feed a household for 2-4 weeks.

Retweet and make this viral

[Longoli Simon Echubit @Longpes]

Over the last week, @LokubalPaul has raised over 10 million UGX to support some of the worst hit by food shortages and maknutrition in Karamoja. But thats a drop in the ocean. Today we make a call for you to contribute and add to these efforts!

To address health inequalities, we need to change the way that we communicate about the wider determinants of health to increase public understanding and build space for policy change.
