I joined the @ERACaucus & community leaders to urge action enshrining equal rights for all—regardless of gender—into our Constitution.
With fundamental rights like abortion & transgender protections under threat, @POTUS must direct @USNatArchives to certify & publish the ERA!
I joined @ERACaucus in urging @POTUS to publish the ERA and enshrine gender equality in the Constitution.
In 2020, I led Virginia to be the 38th and final state to ratify the ERA. But our work isn’t over. It’s imperative that President Biden takes action on the ERA NOW.
The need for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) remains urgent because women in America still face inequality.
President Biden, please certify the ERA to ensure our Constitution finally enshrines sex equality.
🚨 Today, the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in U.S. v Skrmetti, a case that could ban trans people from accessing essential health care.
We MUST finalize the ERA to help protect the constitutional rights of our trans siblings.
It's past time to enshrine gender equality.
Today is #LatinaEqualPay Day!
Latinas earn just 51 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men.
It's time to close the wage gap & enshrine gender equality in the Constitution by passing the Equal Rights Amendment.
We need Equal Pay. We need the ERA.
This Constitution Day would be a great day to enshrine the #EqualRightsAmendment as the 28th Amendment.
Our Caucus will never stop working to get constitutional gender equality across the finish line.
101 years ago, the #EqualRightsAmendment was first introduced. If passed this would enshrine gender equality as a constitutional right, eliminating discrimination based on sex. The #ERA can directly improve the lives of women and people of all genders. Everyone deserves full constitutional equality. @ERACaucus
Happy #PrideMonth! LGBTQ+ leaders like Pauli Murray and Barbara Jordan have been at the forefront of the fight for gender equality, yet have seldom been recognized. This month and every month, we thank them for their commitment to fighting for gender equality for all 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Last week, the ERA caucus celebrated it’s one year anniversary.
In one year, we have grown to the 5th largest caucus in Congress.
Together, we will enshrine the ERA and the protections it would provide into our nations most foundational document.
Passing the #ERA has been a century-long struggle for gender equality. With women still earning an average of 82% of what men earn, there's still so much more progress that needs to be made. I stand with these Marylanders in their fight for true equality. https://t.co/PkFUV45dmU
Women have done the work of preserving & defending our democracy for centuries, & it’s past time our laws recognize our contributions.
This #WomensHistoryMonth, we can honor women by passing the Equal Rights Amendment and enshrining gender equality into the Constitution.
This #WomensHistoryMonth, we continue our fight to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment into the Constitution.
Gender equality is long overdue, and we owe it to the women, LGBTQ+ folks, and all those who have fought for over 100 years for the ERA to finally get this done.
Happy Birthday to trailblazer Barbara Jordan, the first Black woman from the South elected to Congress and a fierce advocate for the Equal Rights Amendment 🎉💚
Happy Belated Birthday to the one and only Flo Kennedy, a dynamic civil rights leader and advocate for the Equal Rights Amendment, who dedicated her life to speaking out against racial & gender injustice! 🎉💚
Black women have always been at the forefront of the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment—but rarely on the front page of its coverage.
This #BlackHistoryMonth, we continue our fight for the #ERA, heeding the calls of Black women & Black queer people who have come before us.
One year ago today, we introduced legislation to remove the arbitrary deadline that has delayed enshrining the #EqualRightsAmendment as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution. Equality is long overdue. We must bring H.J. Res 25 to the floor for a vote.
Four years ago today, Virginia became the 38th and final state necessary to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment by passing my SJ1. Yet, the #ERA is still not published in the U.S. Constitution.
Today, as Vice-Chair of the @ERACaucus, I'm working to fix that.
As a co-founder and co-chair, I’m proud to help launch the @ERACaucus website – the first federal government site dedicated solely to enshrining the #EqualRightsAmendment as the 28th Amendment.
Let’s get this done.

Excited to share that we have a brand new website!
It’s the first federal gov site dedicated to the #ERA🏆
