It's being reported that the decision around the F-35/Gripen has effectively been made, with sources telling La Presse that it will be a mixed fleet of ~30 F-35s and ~60 Gripens.

The remaining decision is about the timing of the announcement.

@pegge49 It would be interesting to break that down further.

For example I don't think the BE Ms have a Towed Array and the non-ASW specialist frigates are not great foe theatre ASW. NL lays up their other M class. It would leave it with 5x UK, 8x FR, 1x NL and perhaps 2x POR.
