I’m looking forward to visiting the new homes again later this week to check on the progress.
These homes look amazing, are energy efficient and provide good new homes to those who live in Serpantine Court.
Handover to the council is next month with the final homes next summer
We’re at an important milestone in building hundreds of new council homes at The Lakes Estate, alongside new facilities and improved green space – we’ll shortly get the keys to the first finished homes so we can start making arrangements for local people to move in.

I’m very pleased to be able to share that Milton Keynes City Council’s Children’s Services have been rated GOOD by OFSTED, and OUTSTANDING for our work with care leavers. The dedication of colleagues means a better life for our children and young people

Bit of Labour conference trivia:
Joe Fortune, the general secretary of the Co-op Party, is the tallest person to address delegates at 6"5, say aides. One calls him "a giant of the Labour movement".
Great to visit Beacon View in central Bletchley today. Residents will start moving in next month. I'm committed to supporting the Government overhaul our planning system to help more families live in affordable homes.
Thanks to Darren, Craig, Tim, Steve & Krassi for the tour!
Despite the challenges of financing new council homes, we are doing so here in Milton Keynes. Next week I will make the decision to go to procurement for these 66 new homes. A big thank you to @emily4MK for getting this going when she was cabinet member.

My first decision as a Cabinet Member. This £65m programme is vital to improve energy efficiency to 1600 homes which reduces energy costs for residents by up to £400.
I still can’t find the local conservatives manifesto for Milton Keynes? Oh there wasn’t one, clearly a lack of vision and ambition from the conservatives.
Absolutely delighted to be represented by a Labour MP for the first time in my life. It’s been a great pleasure to be Callum’s agent, to lead his campaign with a fantastic team. He will be a great MP for Buckingham and Bletchley. 💪🌹
It is with a profound sense of responsibility that I become the new member of parliament for the Buckingham & Bletchley constituency.
Thank you to everyone across our towns, villages and city who placed their trust in me on 4th July.
I will work tirelessly to repay it.

Just look at the scaffolding behind, this is million pounds of investment improving energy efficiency and lowering bills for our cities residents. We aren’t leaving them behind, we’re investing in them.
Don't leave our older estates behind! As we enter the final few days before the General Election. We have a big decision to make. Do we keep growing on the edges, or do we invest in our older estates and enable community led regeneration instead? Labour failed in that process just a few years ago, leaving residents behind. We need someone who will put our existing residents first. That's what I'll do if you vote for me on the 4th of July. The power is in your hands now. @MKConservatives
