Please RT: For every critically ill patient with Covid we recruit to @GenomiccStudy with @GenomicsEngland , we need to find someone similar who tested positive for Covid (virus or antibody)but didn't get very sick. We need people from across UK:

How does Covid-19 cause ARDS? This preprint of @EdinUni_MeetCIR paper compares the neutrophils in patients with ARDS, Covid-19 ARDS, moderate Covid-19, and healthy volunteers. @EdCriticalCare
Please help to amplify this response from @PeterHorby to some outrageous and harmful nonsense - a lie has made it halfway round the world before the truth has got its boots on.
Tier Zero of @CCPUKstudy (clinical data characterisation) of #COVID19 exceeded 50,000 participants today, that's one in three of every case admited to Hospital in Scotland, England, and Wales. While this is a marvelous @NIHRresearch success, each case is a personal tragedy.
Maeve and Ashley (and Alice behind the camera) who have been pivotal in bringing vCreate to WGH.They have worked so hard, faced many challenges, but the amazing feedback from families who are now able to receive photos or videos of their loved ones in ICU makes it all worthwhile!

Thank you to each patient participating in this crucial research & thank you to @NIHRresearch research nurse delivery teams making research happen on the frontline across the UK. This needs recognising, celebrating & reporting #InternationalNursesDay@BBCNews@itvnews@SkyNews
I think @GenomiccStudy should offer a prize for the unit that recruits the 2000th patient. Very probably tomorrow!
Thanks so much to everyone who is working so hard to recruit every intubated COVID patient in the UK to this study
Let's talk about "rationing" of intensive care in the context of #COVID19 (thread)
First of all, it's not happening in the UK. There are lots of misconceptions, which stem from the fact we are under enormous pressure.
Please support @GenomiccStudy if you can in your icu. A simple study...one blood sample but could help us beat covid19 and be ready if there is a next time! Every patient in every icu can be part of this.
GenOMICC is an open global collaboration to understand host genetic factors leading to death in critical illness. In the UK we are now recruiting in 85 ICUs, covering half of the ICU capacity nationwide.
This could make a difference in COVID-19.

Huge amount of work going into producing this quickly. If you are a medic, theatre nurse, ODP, recovery nurse, surgeon, anaesthetist, nurse practitioner, and think you might have to work in critial care during #COVID19 what would you want to know? Link in tweet ⬇️
