Wonderful moments from a Practice Research Conference at the University of East London this weekend, where I got to share a taster of my voice-water enchantment practice with fellow practice-as-research PhD students.
How do you celebrate and mark an occasion?
A few weeks ago, I submitted my PaR thesis on voicing enchantment. I’m so grateful that my research led me to the “water scene”.
Thrilled to share with the world this Special Issue on Posthuman Voices that I co-edited with @bentifr Featuring exciting contributions from Paola Torres Núñez del Prado, Domenico Napolitano, @alex_clarinet, Ute Wassermann, @jferrete, @kalladomcdowell & @bentifr
Journal of Interdisciplinary Voice Studies themed issue on 'Posthuman Voices' is out!
Edited by @bentifr & @EdlundSophia
Topics: decolonizing the algorithm, training voice clones, vocal devising with seashells & composing with cetaceans:

Had a wonderful time at #TaPRA21, listening to inspiring presentations and getting the opportunity to share my research on a topic I love “Visualising vocal attraction” in the Sound, Voice & Music WG. Thank you @TaPRA_ and #SoundVoiceMusic for the opportunity!
So excited for this event I've organised together with Dr. Tom Rice.
I took his bioacoustics class during my MA in #anthrozoology! It really blew my mind. Come to this event and have how you view AND listen to other animals + your environment in general change forever!
