Some reflections in @SecEd_Education about supporting secondary history #expertmiddleleaders develop their curriculum. Been a pleasure and a privilege to geek out on history and I know their pupils will benefit hugely from the hard thinking they’ve done, even with schools shut💪
Awful news about the Trump shooting today. No space for violence in politics and wishing him a speedy recovery.
Big chance of fake news in the fallout. Be on your guard folks - I’ll be looking for trusted outlets and verified facts.
@BritainRemade is asking the tough questions before the election. Why the extreme delays on wind farms while our energy bills keep rising? Why do new roads and railways cost a lot more than in Europe? Check out their plan now, which solves these problems! https://t.co/WtiuV0EJT4
because of the election my petition closes end of this month & it won’t reopen. I’m so upset as don’t think I’ll get the number required for a response. This feels utterly fruitless all the effort for 3 months cut off. Need 10,000

@adamboxer1 Agreed. You need a pretty good definition of curriculum to be able to define what NOT teaching it means - at least in history.
I suppose you cd argue some academies and free schools can teach what they like and that’s bad for kids’ education/ coherence of our school system? 🤷♂️
@EmathsUK …but are we happy with the status quo? It is hard for teachers and pupils
To move around our system.
If it’s not too prescriptive (topic level rather than lesson level) I can see potential benefits in terms of system coherence.
@EmathsUK …hard to be non compliant in most school IMO.
If we see the NC as a min entitlement, not sure how this wd be bad - given that there needs to be some oversight of curriculum, and NC appears a way of doing this.
Of course it cd make things worse if badly implemented…
Great news. As a user of the West Coast Mainline for work and soon to be increasing to get to Scotland it clear we already need more capacity.
