I and my partner didn’t win the just concluded polygon hackathon, but our project Boardman came out as a runner-up for the master track. It was a tough period with school exams and all but I am glad I participated. I really did learn a lot from the bootcamp

- One of the best security practices when building smart contracts is that you should always want to call any external contract as the last step in your function

- Using a mutex lock is also a very good practice @OpenZeppelin does this with one of their modifiers ‘nonReentrant’

The two most common kind of attacks in solidity smart contacts are

1. Reentrancy Attacks
2. Oracle Attacks

Oracle attacks usually only happen when a protocol doesn’t use a decentralized oracle like @chainlink

I recently made a decentralized storage dapp with additional functionalities like sharing of files, pinning your files to IPFS, adding friends and minting of NFTs. I call it Dropbox 3.0🙂. It currently works on the polygon testnet
