1/5 🧵 There is a common clickbait along the lines of “contributing to open source got me a tech job”. So, it didn’t get me a tech job, but contributing to open source did get me the privilege to attend last week a three-day sprint at the @UniofNottingham! 😀
4/5 Although not a lot of new code was pushed, the sprint got the ball rolling for new features which I’m looking forward to working on.

@JoeHilgard I stumbled upon one (Python) repository where the authors styled comments using strings (not assigned to any variable or something), and unused code was commented out.
