@OgLakyn Ah yes, but also the UK is a very classist place so that's why people are anti-tracksuits. They want children to 'look smart'. Also the UK press loves a school uniform news story like "Girl sent home for wrong top" ie wearing banned branded clothes. They'd lose that 'news' too

@OgLakyn They want to replace the 3 items with supermarket track suits. Children won't be allowed Adidas stripes etc. I knew a school where you couldn't even have kickers shoes for school because of the little green/red tab.

@MLJK87 @ComeHometoRome So, would you rather hundreds gather in church then the priest says "Okay everyone, read the first reading to yourself" after an appropriate pause he repeats for the other readings. Would be tricky for the psalm, because typically we all say the response together.

@_MissieBee I agree with you! But I don't think the LA has jurisdiction. Maybe Ofsted? Or, audit but I don't know how that works for private companies. Its awful. Especially if your child is happy and settled, they know they've got you over a barrel.

@PerfumedDandy @ireland1921 @LouisStaples It was such a big plot point in teen drama As If, which was on 2000-2001. The characters were all 16-18. And one was involved with a slightly older policeman which was problematic for legal reasons. Then the age changed as it was screened.
