Human neurons are incredibly complex and Purkinje cells are, by far, the largest in our brain. We give a detailed characterization of their dendrite and spine morphology and distribution across cerebellar regions compared with mouse. Check it out!
Happy to share our new review: "Understanding Cerebellar Input Stage through Computational and Plasticity Rules" 👇 https://t.co/25r5utNuj5 #mdpibiology via @Biology_MDPI
Happy to share our latest publication. We identified hyperexcitable cerebellar molecular layer interneurons as a key driver of purkinje neuron degeneration in spinocerebellar ataxia. Circuits matter in neurodegeneration.

In E/I sequences elicited by mossy fibers in Purkinje cells, E and I latencies are not always correlated. Consequences for Purkinje cell firing? Thanks to exceptional F Binda,@LAphtes and @arvin_neuro : https://t.co/ksmiBKPK8d
