Two things CONSISTENTLY stand out in the high-level players I train or get to know:
- They don’t need to be pushed—they push themselves.
- They’re usually more physical + bigger than their competition. It’s not always about height but overall size and strength.
Year after year, I see the best swings come from the same college programs.
Instead of obsessing over 2-strike, no-stride, choppy swings…
Build a swing that doesn’t miss strikes one and two in the first place.
Reverse engineer your two-strike approach.
Shout out to my hitting coach @Ell_Mono JJ Padilla @ INFINITE HITTING in Cypress for helping me with my swing the last few months !! KLEIN CAIN BASEBALL TRYOUTS STARTED TODAY !! I’m looking forward to a big season ! Thank you JJ!!!
I asked @maxxclarkk13:
In 2 years...
- 60y dash went from: 7.2s → 6.4s
- Exit velo went from: 85 → 102 mph (+17 mph!)
What contributed most?
He said: "It was all about force production. Moving weight fast + heavy weight. To be fast you've gotta train fast + explosive”
Shohei Ohtani just became the only member of the 50/50 Club.
I've spent *hours* binging Japanese video to study him.
Here's 7 things he does (that makes him so great):
