@portraitinflesh I find (the less awful) examples of things like this fascinating. In France they believe modern schools were invented by Charlemagne, because he'd once pushed for more mass education and they wanted a statist origin to dissociate the idea from traditional Church schools.

The range of emotion it conveys, and the point in the film where you realise what their dispute is about and how understandable it is on both sides. It's so well made.

@portraitinflesh I'm neurodivergent (autistic / adhd) and one of the things I've *really* had to learn as I aged is, rightly or wrongly, most other people can not or will not allow you to make an argument by laying out pieces like this. They need to infer motive as strongly I need abstraction.
