I spent months off Twitter to reduce stress. But I missed out on good info I wouldnβt otherwise see. So Iβm back but largely to read. My interactions will be limited, and they will be positive. Negativity will be ignored and I will do my best not to be a source of it. π
If you are near Guelph ON on Apr 30, please show your support for a great couple as they continue the fight against bigotry and intolerance. https://t.co/1H5siydmzS
@ScurvyCompanion WTF?!?! This is not okay. Sure, youβll test negative today. But when you go to the hospital you may well have it and be spreading it the whole time youβre there. How does that help anyone? Especially you. But, hey, we have 3k more beds so itβs all good.
@MadameBossy@ConstableDowns1@haokohaoko@JortsTheCat You should also know that shovelling large quantities of snow causes a lot of sweat even if it is very cold outside. That sweat makes boots very appealing to the cats who love us.
@ScurvyCompanion While my pain was not the same as yours, I can relate at least a little, and I wouldnβt wish it on anyone, especially not someone as lovely as you.
@HenarisHere11 @AsamiTerajima@KyivIndependent Adjunct professor at ANOTHER university and you found concrete information to help the poster. Thank you for being awesome!
#Ukraine fundraising idea: Tshirts with Ukraine flag and βRussian warship, go f*ck yourselfβ Proceeds to Red Cross Ukraine and surrounding countries. I have neither the skills nor the contacts to make this happen, but my mother will buy five if someone else does.
@bananapixelsuk If I ever have to swear an oath with my hand on a book, it will either be the first photo album of my child, or my Calvin and Hobbes collection. If it is a bible, you might as well tell me outright that I can lie.
@JortsTheCat I am going to remember this video the next time I have celery in my fridge that is going to waste. Also, seeing the work that goes into planting, I would gladly pay more for celery if it meant these workers got better pay.
@george_works @awesomebrandi How do you do washing up WITHOUT organizing it first?! Are there actually people like that? My heart rate is going up just thinking about it. π
@hepghftito@StructuredSucc Also remember most of our mistakes donβt matter, and we are often the only ones who remember them. Reading your reply, I saw a typo in mine. I *desperately* want to delete it but fear what you might think. You see a person who cared enough to reply, but Iβm stuck on a typo. Gah!
@irinarempt @StructuredSucc Iβm 50 and am finally learning to be kind to myself instead of saving it only for others. That involves forgiving myself. Itβs really hard. But Iβm already feeling the benefits and so are the people I love because they love me and want me to be happy too.
@taramcallister4 I think if we have the option to work from home, it is our responsibility to WFH because it helps protect those who canβt. They donβt need to be exposed to us while commuting or working. They have enough exposure to deal with as it is.
