Today in class we looked at Smart Walks and the advantages and disadvantages of them. In our small groups, we came up with a list of the minimum teacher and administrator requirements for observations. We used this example Goldilocks & the Three Bears to demonstrate our thinking.

@BryerSmith7 I agree that there is a significant difference between equity and equality. These videos were very helpful when trying to understand the two concepts, and why they are so important in our lives. We refer to these two ideas multiple times every day!

@sarcarr427 My group's conversation also focused on the differences between men and women's safety both in public areas and at JMU. It was always in the back of my mind but this really made me realize the differences that we go through being women in certain situations.

During class today, we discussed quotes and themes of the article.We chose the term "Rejection" because many ideas from the school boards/constitution were rejected and so was the student from his college. In order for children to gain literacy skills, ideas need to be supported!

@Baileyjmu2025 Everyone loves Chick-fil-a so I think this was a great example of them using the psychological safety google norm! Since there are so many chick-fil-a locations and employees, it is for sure a priority of theirs to make sure everyone has a good work environment!

@GageTriggs This is a great example of the impact at work google norm! I think it is one of the most efficient and important norms that a company can use. Working as one and researching together is definitely a good method to use and this article showed that well!

The article I chose was about Amazon. They have achieved extreme success and the main google norm that amazon uses is Structure and Clarity! Amazon created certain jobs and smaller companies within their 3 industries to make sure everything runs smoothly. #03Sp22 #EDUC200

Today in class the main idea was sharing "The Story of My Name". Everyone got a chance to share where their names originated from and some unique stories about them. We learned as a class that multiple people's last names got changed when their ancestors came from Ellis Island.
