@EmmaVernon1@BraydonY@GlistenedSparks I wonder who #BernieSanders would have ended up running against. Somebody better than Trump, for sure, if people had been allowed to vote against Trump in the primaries, but I wonder who. Regardless, at least we would have gotten something better than we did get. #Bernie2020
@LauraEOlson@EmmaVernon1@GlistenedSparks Probably against Jill Stein of the Green Party. I don't know how that would have gone down, but it would have been interesting. At least we would be doing better now either way.
@BraydonY@LauraEOlson@GlistenedSparks That's a good point. Bernie Sanders would have probably been on the ballot in the general election if people could have voted against Hillary Clinton in the primaries, so I wouldn't have had to write him in to vote for him.
@RBrown0112@SenSanders No, I mean those who don't care about ordinary people. Yes, that includes the Clintons. Not sure about Pelosi. Bernie earns less than half in an average year of the $500k he mentioned in the tweet I was replying to. 2016 was a good year for him financially, due to book sales.
Since 1968, there have been more than 1.5 million gun-related deaths on US territory.
Since the founding of the United States, there have been about 1.4 million Americans killed in wars.
@SenSanders They just don't seem to care about ordinary people at all. Maybe they're afraid if we had half a chance we wouldn't be so ordinary and they might get a bit of competition for a decent life, but most of us aren't greedy enough to want it all like the stupidly rich do.
@BruceBartlett Should have voted for Bernie. Hopefully enough people will learn from this that voting for the lesser isn't how to elect someone good. #Bernie2020#Bernie2024
@BruceBartlett If our elections had a #BalancedBallot and the people had the option to vote directly against a feared candidate, regressives and destructives would stop winning so much. https://t.co/IMFBq8fWiC Can we work more on making THAT happen?
The U.S. and other developed countries must develop policies to improve life for the desperately poor around the world. We should not be making a bad situation even worse. https://t.co/DzEfEv9N6c
