Happy St George’s Day 🏴
Nothing says England like a great pub 🍻
And is there a better English dish than pie?! 🥧Huge congrats to The Bell for winning Best Beef & Cheese Pie at the British Pie Awards - I can testify that mine recently was fantastic!
Have a good one, all.
Today we celebrate St George’s Day.
A day to recognise the patron saint of England - and to reflect on the values that bring us together: courage, community, and resilience.
Here in Selly Oak, and right across the country, those values are lived every day by the people who keep our communities strong - our nurses, teachers, volunteers, and armed forces.
Happy St George’s Day!
A moment to celebrate our communities, our shared values and the heritage we’re proud of.
I was delighted to welcome Jenny Allinson, the new Chair of the Woodchurch Pride in Place board, to Number 10 Downing Street to celebrate.
Together, we brought Woodchurch right to the heart of Downing Street - with Jenny sharing her inspiring vision directly with the Prime Minister and the Chancellor.
Happy St George's Day from Dartford, which holds the annual schools parade later.
“We should be able to celebrate England’s past, present & future. We do that best when we express pride without prejudice, inviting everybody who calls England home to feel part of St George’s Day”
England! Happy St George’s Day!
Beautiful countryside, great cities, charming towns…
Our history, our humour, our pubs…
What a bloody great country this is!

We thoroughly recommend reading "The Solidarity Nation" by @JYDenham. Only through a national, collective self-interest will be navigate these challenging times and build the cohesive society we need.
