💥 "It is highly likely Labour conference 2021 will debate Proportional Representation for general elections, after almost half of all Constituency Labour Parties – 314 of 648 – backed the move and at least 144 sent PR motions to conference." #Labour4PR

Note, the 2nd reading of the Health and Social Care Levy bill only passed because of FPTP.
The 256 MPs who voted against it represent more of the electorate than the 317 MPs who voted in favour. It passed because seats don't match votes.

@forwardnotback Note that this only passed because of FPTP.

We've had so much fun today #MakeNoiseForPR - our voting system is not fair and it needs to change. If you haven't signed the petition yet today make sure you don't forget and sign it now. We need to #MakeVotesMatter https://t.co/y3flipfhRr
Followers of this account are well aware that our voting system is the elephant in so many rooms.
But what about zooms? Seen any elephants in zooms lately?
If so, please send pics 😃🙏🐘🗳️
Imagine you got to choose - really choose - who will speak for you in Parliament.
That, essentially, is what Proportional Representation means.
It's also why some people don't want you to have it.
If you're like me...
Not a day goes by where you're not appalled by this Govt
We voted for this
EXCEPT WE DIDN'T
In 2019 the Tories won with 44% of the votes
...but ended up with 100% of the power
This is why FPTP voting has caused us a world of pain
THIS is why we need PR

I'm a bit late to the party, but check this out! Winston Churchill hit the nail on the head all those years ago. We need #EqualVotes, like, last century.
Some inspiration for #StGeorgesDay , some Winston Churchill wisdom on how England stands almost alone in Europe, except for Belarus, in not having #EqualVotes...

(Actual quote from Hansard in 1931)
"We need to be bold and we need to get out from our own shadow to confidently make the case for democratic and constitutional reform."
@KeiranON earlier this year on how Labour must once again be the party of constitutional reform: https://t.co/rMkf6I1It7
Look at the state of @CLPD_Labour...
If they hold an anti-PR rally with the Tories, they could say:
"We DEMAND Tory majority governments"
"We DEMAND unequal votes"
"We DEMAND more of the same"
What's it called when you repeat the same tactics expecting different results...?
The Czech Republic's "discriminatory" voting system is a paragon of fairness compared to UK general elections.
In 2019, First Past the Post completely warped the election results.
We need Proportional Representation - so Parliament reflects the people.
To be sure, the system they use is far from perfectly proportional.
In 2017, ANO won significantly more seats than votes, and other parties got slightly less seats than they should have.
But if this is "discriminatory", what on earth is the UK's First Past the Post?
