This is a methodology I developed over the course of my career. No matter if you are a pro or not, understanding development context improves prediction greatly.
@NIKNBAYT You’re not going to win many playoff series if only 2 players have to carry 90% of the scoring burden every game.
Team isn’t a star swap away from contention. OKC/SAS/NYK/(IND) should make that clear
@mikegrib8@bendog28 Neither of those.
The draft space has gotten pretty contentious about philosophies and opinions. Yet, nobody has built something to actually improve the evaluation process.
So much collective intelligence on here. Could really advance the field, which everyone benefits from
The Thunder absolutely need to trade Chet this summer because it's impossible for a 24-year-old All-NBA player to bounce back from a bad playoff series. Nobody's ever done it before. He's doomed forever now.
@AdamTaylorNBA So, a team looking for rim pressure & needs guard/big help is going to empty the clip on a Wing scorer who shoots from the outside?
Don’t buy it
Seven players between 8-15 shots. No superstar “FGA Entitlement”. Just let the ball find the best look.
Plenty of “role players” in this shot mix. High leverage game be damned. Empower all your players.
This is how every team should function.
@tmetcalf11 The way they are built though, they need Jalen Williams healthy. There’s a cascading effect to role responsibility.
It’s not as easy to adapt to systemic disruption when you are being pressed to your limit.
@2REDJUrl@NetsPressIG The funniest shit to me is the automatic “this dude play bad, must trade” recency bias reactions.
Jalen Williams & D’Aron Fox have track records of success. But all of a sudden they’re bad & the teams need to trade them?
@2REDJUrl There are some really really good NBA scorers who don’t impact winning significantly enough to matter.
Get guys who are easy to project doing that & you’ll be better off
@NekiasNBA@Z_Dubz26@dunkerspotpod If you talk to your friends, yes. Public debate, unfortunately, is dead.
Social media has sodomized constructive dialogue from differing vantage points.
