The ones labeled psychotic lack that containment or capacity for true integration, so instead of navigating the waters, they drown in them, because their gifts get labeled as deficits, and their identity fractures even more.
The DSM robs you of your gifts.
Have you heard “the psychotic drowns in the same waters that the mystic swims with delight.”
That quote comes from Joseph Campbell, the American mythologist and writer best known for The Hero with a Thousand Faces. 🧵
The mystic’s work provides some kind of internal scaffolding, whether that be spiritual, energetic, or somatic. And that allows them to navigate, to find meaning and orientation inside altered states. 🧵
Studies have repeatedly shown that mitochondrial dysfunction alters the HPA axis, adrenal function, sympathetic activation, catecholamine levels, inflammatory markers, AND hippocampus response to stress.
In addition, studies have shown that the Nervous System is particularly vulnerable to defects in mitochondrial energy production. Mood and emotional states can impact mitochondrial function as well.
YES, THE SUN WORKS AND IS HEALTHY FOR YOU EVEN IN THE WINTER (Here's Proof)
At an undisclosed location somewhere in the northern USA, in the first picture, we see sun power of 909w/m2 which equals about 90mw/cm2. Remember, in addition to all the other colors or wavelengths of sunlight which are therapeutic in their own ways, more than 50% of sunlight is red and infrared light so you are getting a pretty strong therapeutic dose of natural "photobiomodulation" or red light therapy even in the dreary winter time!
In the second picture, despite what you may have heard, you see UV light doesn’t really go away in the winter time. UVB can mostly disappear depending on your latitude and altitude. But you can and should get a dose of UVA light every day even in the winter. The health and heliotherapeutic benefits are vast. Nitric oxide stimulating, hormone regulating, blood pressure lowering, melanin generating, mood & microbiome improving and on and on...
Here we see the UV at about 2mw/cm2. In this area at this time during summer, the reading shoots up to about 6mw/cm2 so the power of UV is greatly reduced in the winter but still healthy for and required by your biology.
And one more thing, the LUX power or brightness of light is way more powerful outdoors than indoors even in the winter time. Higher lux prevents circadian rhythm disruption and brightens your mood, prevents you from becoming Jack Nicolson's character in The Shining.
So yes, I know its cold but.....
Go outside.
@hubermanlab Teach people how to make their own internal sunscreen. Eliminate the crap from their diet. Hydrate with minerals. And cover up or seek shade when necessary. The sun isn’t all of a sudden poison.
@S_Gallagher23@nicknorwitz@ChrisPalmerMD It’s not about finding “treatments”, it’s about providing the mitochondria with the right resources. Removing nnEMFs is the first step as this highly impairs mitochondrial function. Animal fats to produce more metabolic water and electrons. Sunlight (red light) to spin the ATPase
@BLUEM0MMY@anabology It’s anti inflammatory in low doses, which makes it beneficial for mental health conditions as well. But your better bet is to clear up whatever is going on in the eyes. Blue light toxicity drives oxygen deprivation in the eyes, and prevents proper signaling to the brain.
David did a really great job at explaining the nuances of cold exposure, as well as the benefits! Give him a follow and check out his offerings! @solarathlete https://t.co/1YxvxDBhoU
