@Myhandle44 @nilikm Then messaging to encourage masking is what should be done (it is being done). People showed up “en masse” because they disagree with mandating it and quite frankly it’s unenforceable as a single school district anyways.

@Myhandle44 @nilikm Peer pressure exists indeed. We can’t eliminate that from our kids lives by mandating masking. And yes it’s a terrible rsv and flu season circulating, also can’t be solved with masking & at this point fortunately it seems to be leveling off.

@Myhandle44 @nilikm You are really grasping with that. The majority of people don’t want them mandated again, in schools or anywhere. And I’ve yet to see anyone care if someone chooses to mask. Most ppl off Twitter aren’t mask extremists either way.

We don’t know if Covid is causes long term issues and we don’t know if multiple boosters cause long term issues. We need to let people make the choice they are comfortable with and not shame them either way.

@triscrossmakeu @kwadwo777 This is irrelevant. Many of us appreciated the work he put in to give us a chance to get our kids back in class. Watching my 7 year old struggle every day, I’m truly grateful for his efforts. Whatever he did for the best interest of his kids is ok with me.
