From a genuine laughing stock to writing himself into the history books. The greatest redemption arc of all time.
A good fee for someone with a year left and for someone we’d have expected to have to pay off 12 months ago.
All the very best Shayden- and thank you for Hampden🇦🇹
This is BriAnna Garza.
Now, I don't know anything about basketball, but I really want to be in that gym listening to her.
I've often said that over-coaching is an issue that a lot of coaches and parents have. We are guides through the process. We are not answer keys
I can't stop thinking about this question:
Are you willing to sprint when the distance is unknown?
In 2021, Georgia Tech strength coach Lewis Caralla delivered this epic speech to the football team.
If it doesn't get you motivated, you may need to check your pulse...
He opens with a few harsh truths:
• Winning isn't loyal to you
• Winning doesn't care about you
• Winning doesn't care how sore you are
• Winning doesn't care how hard you work
• Winning doesn't care how much sleep you get
But it's his question that stuck with me:
Are you willing to sprint when the distance is unknown?
The willingness to sprint with no clear view of the finish line is rare.
It requires two things:
1. A deep belief in one's self
2. A deep belief in the mission
If you have 1 but not 2, you won't be able to do it.
If you have 2 but not 1, you won't be able to do it.
You need both.
In my observation, the greatest things in life are accomplished when you're willing to sprint when the distance is unknown:
The sprint to care for your loved ones in their time of need.
The sprint to build something meaningful.
The sprint to serve others and create positive ripples in the world.
Goal: Find those rare things in life that you're willing to sprint for when the distance is unknown.
That, to me, is the definition of winning.
"And why chase winning? Because the only thing that's guaranteed in life if you don't chase it is losing."
Replay from earlier this year, but turn up the volume and listen to Dimitar Berbatov talk about a "ball and a wall" and all of the benefits. At one point he even says a ball and a wall provides almost everything that happens in a game.
“Leadership is not about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge.” @simonsinek
Poor leadership focuses on authority over others.
Great leadership focuses on responsibility to others.
Too many players pass the ball either:
1. In their teammates direction
Or
2. To offload responsibility

It’s important players learn to take care of the details…
-Can we play the ball to set our teammates up for success?
-leading them properly - shaping the pass to best fit the situation
-weighing the pass properly
These simple details are massive in terms of finding success at the higher levels.

This maybe the most important advice on building an organisation 👇
🗣"We get the right people, not the best people. Because sometimes the best people are arseholes, sometimes the best people are self centred, sometimes the best people aren't team players. So you get the right people, that's important"
Jurgen Klopp gives a valuable lesson in parenting. Frustration and disappointment will regularly surface in a child's life, it's unavoidable. What matters most is helping them learn how to handle it well, as it's crucial for their development! 🧒👨👩👧👦💪 #ParentingWisdom #EmotionalResilience #Klopp

This is a different league: The USL Super League.
