@jpbizmodel@david_katunaric People want someone with judgment pick stocks for them. You don't want to spend 20 minutes reading some AI generated overview on a business that then turns out to have serious corporate governance issues
@aymanraouf@ErnestWongBWM because management thinks the opportunity of under valued share prices won’t be around for too long and they want to take advantage now. Using only profits, would limit how much they can buy today
@BrownMarubozu@AJButton2 Assumed growth in book value. And then some hope for slight increase of P/B (currently fair valued, been higher in past). Later will push it above 10%
The older I get the more I appreciate those that invest differently than me. Especially those that have crushed the market in their own unique way and not by simply accepting the broadly evangelized "buy and hold forever is the only path to heavenly riches."
Major cheat code for life: Always assume things will work out, then do the work to make it true. It’s a mindset of active optimism. Earned faith. It creates a quiet confidence that allows you to tolerate the uncertainty of life better than anything else.
@DilksJay If you want to argue VEA and VWO went up in recent 2-3yrs, it's basically an extension of the US AI trade of companies not listed/not HQ'd in US, but still driven by same "theme".
