@AmandaLeftCoast Only insofar as fascism is technically right-wing-specific. The modern left is very much authoritarian, and many of the people on the left do want to force their ideology on others and make them obey.
@EpiphanisC @RobCotter21@ZubyMusic There's no sorting it. There's no practical solution to removing 300-400 millions guns from private owners' hands. It's just the reality of the situation that few want to accept.
@RevanLaughs@sunnycreek5 @FireMargot @AlexSekulic1@BBCWorld And from here on out with automated CNC and 3D printing it's only going to get easier. Other countries that don't have gun problems because they had to be professional manufactured are going to see an uptick. Guns are *very* simple devices, they're not hard to produce today.
@RevanLaughs@sunnycreek5 @FireMargot @AlexSekulic1@BBCWorld You have no choice but the latter at this point. There's upwards of 400 million guns out there. Our bed is made regardless of how you might feel, even if you struck down the 2nd Amendment tomorrow. And that's not even getting into the prospect of widespread unrest at such an act.
@Theo_TJ_Jordan Not that I disagree entirely, but at the same time we have to be careful not to fall into the trap of thinking more and more of us are racist against each other, because that is exactly the goal they're pushing for.
@RevanLaughs@sunnycreek5 @FireMargot @AlexSekulic1@BBCWorld And that stuff happens daily in cities like Chicago and Detroit. But that's not what Biden or anyone else is complaining about. They only care about the high-profile indiscriminate shootings. That's why they target things like "assault rifles" that have little to no impact
@RevanLaughs@sunnycreek5 @FireMargot @AlexSekulic1@BBCWorld Right, but you know just as well as I do that a drive-by on a house in a gang or drug dispute that kills 4 or more people is not a "mass shooting" in the sense we tend to think of them, which is often indiscriminate. Yet those make up the bulk of statistical mass shootings.
@FireMargot @Theo_Aft @AlexSekulic1@BBCWorld The worst attack on school children in US history was in Bath, Michigan in 1927 and it was explosives, not a mass shooting.

@RevanLaughs@sunnycreek5 @FireMargot @AlexSekulic1@BBCWorld You're comparing a shooting of any two or more people with stabbing incidents involve mass amounts of school children.
If we reduce mass stabbing to two or more people, the same standard, you'd see a much, much higher number.
@JonMayerSI @Tiberious_Nero @beaky777@BBCWorld Supporting law enforcement is not supporting government oppression. You obviously know this, you conflate the two for your own preferred narrative.
Also, the thing you're responding to is a lie. It never happened. Even the fire extinguisher incident was disputed.
@KayLafree5@rjwood48@BBCWorld How many of these shooters have no records? They certainly did a background check, and he probably passed because there's nothing from his official past to indicate a problem. People will be fine their whole lives then suffer a mental breakdown. You can't legislate for that.
