Communications with Voyager 2 have paused while its antenna is pointed a mere 2-degrees away from Earth. The team expects it to remain on its trajectory with a plan for the spacecraft to reset its orientation this October, enabling communication to resume. https://t.co/bJDKh6Icg5
I will go to Mars in 2028 after ESA reconfigured Exomars mission ! It still depends on the confirmation of thé contribution from NASA but I feel confident I will be on Mars before 2030 😀
Impossible to perform so many experiments with my flight and spare models that must be kept clean till the operations on Mars and which have limited resources that cannot be resplenished 😄 That's why my proto is so important for the MOMA team !
Yesterday was the last day of a 5 weeks long test campain of my prototype GCMS @NASAGoddard. Team members from @NASA @LISA_ipsl @latmos_ipsl#LGPM supported these tests which are usefull to well characterize and optimize the way my flight model will work on Mars !

A few days ago I was allowed to perform a blank test to check the status of my analysers. Everything went right and I am ready now to analyse Mars samples in Oxia Planum in less than 2 years from now !
Congrats to @NASAWebb for its successfull launch with an @Arianespace rocket. Good trip to L2 point ! I hope to travel next year in space as well on my way to Mars !
#NASAWebb is safely in space with its solar array drawing power from the Sun! Its reaction wheels will keep the spacecraft pointed in the right direction so that its sunshield can protect the telescope from radiation and heat: https://t.co/NZJ7sSJ8fX

This week #ROCC participated to the #RSOWG Simulation4, involving about 140 scientists remotely connected from Europe,Russia,US.
Two days of strategic activities dedicated to #ALD Combined Science, in preparation for actual @ESA_MarsRover mission

Today is the second day of the 4th simulation of @ESA_ExoMars rover operations with the ALD instruments at work, including myself. With @ExoMarsRaman and #Micromega we found interesting materials in the rock analysed. I wish it would be real measurements on Mars...
☄️ Planetary Image of the Day #PIOD comes from Mars! The @ExoMars_CaSSIS/@ESA_TGO imaged bright white carbon dioxide frost in a crater wall in Alba Mons, #Mars. The frost disappears in spring, but remains late on these scarps because of their orientation

Wow nice test done with the twin of @ExomarsRover@esa estec to map the terrain with the rover's cameras. It will be very important to understand the geological context of the places where samples will be collected by the driller.
After a long bakeout, my rover and its instruments (including myself) went out the big chamber where we spent hours. Now we are cleaner and ready for the next step 🥳
#ExoMars rover comes out of the ‘oven’ ♨️
The Rosalind Franklin @ESA_MarsRover that will search for life on Mars has completed an important bakeout to help clean the rover from organic molecules from Earth

Nice papers about the non detection at trace levels of many reduced molecules in Mars atmosphere with @ESA_TGO ! I hope to find plenty of them in the soil samples to be collected by my @ExomarsRover !

Parachutes to be used for my @ExomarsRover landing on Mars are currently tested in Kiruna (Sweden). I hope the tests will be positive so I will be less scared about the landing phase which is not the most quite part of the journey to Mars !
