Today, under the leadership of France and Saudi Arabia, 142 countries have adopted the New York Declaration on the implementation of the Two-State Solution.

Together, we are charting an irreversible path towards peace in the Middle East.

France, Saudi Arabia, and all their partners will be in New York to make this peace plan a reality at the Conference on the Two-State Solution.

Another future is possible. Two peoples, two States : Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security.

It is up to all of us to make it happen!

It was great to receive a courtesy visit from Foday Bassie Swarray (@FBSwaray ), Executive Director of @actionaidsl5. We had productive discussions on several areas of common interest including community engagement in government’s reform efforts such as the constitutional review process, electoral reform, the upcoming census, and broader governance issues in 🇸🇱.

More than 3,600 people have died following the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28. DEC charities, including ActionAid, have raised over £18 million through the Myanmar Earthquake Appeal.

This money - the result of incredible generosity of the UK public - will help support the estimated 17 million people who were impacted by the earthquake, many of whom are now without access to clean water, food, shelter or medical care.

But more support is urgently needed.

This video, created by the @decappeal, highlights the destruction caused by the earthquake, and how people’s lives were shattered in an instant. It warns of the impending devastation if survivors are not able to access humanitarian aid, with soaring temperatures and the arrival of the monsoon season threatening to take its toll on those living without shelter.
