I found page 43 interesting where Michael discusses how his sister never gets questioned for taking interest in “boy” things. Do you think there is a double standard where women are praised for liking “male” things, where men are chastised for liking “women” things? #XUEngl205

In part VI I thought the list of names was very moving. When you get to the bottom you see that the rest of the spaces are left blank. It’s not just one or two spaces either. I think this shows that no matter how long the list is, there will be more #XUEngl205

I found the image following part V to be very interesting. It seems to perfectly depict the intricacy and abstractness of self reflection. It makes me think of a lot and nothing at the same time. I think this ties in really well to the text in Part V #XUEngl205

While reading these short essays I found there to be a continuing idea of the writers parents shielding them from what they had experienced. I found it crazy that Randall Park knew very little about his parents. However, his parents seemed to do this to protect him #XUEngl205
