Let me share a personal story that completely destroyed me, and changed my life forever.

I was working at one of the best companies in Canada. PhD from UBC, published papers, patents, years of hard work. I truly believed I had built a safe future.

One morning the CEO emailed everyone, saying some roles would be impacted. Five minutes later, my calendar updated. HR meeting. I already knew.

I walked into the HR office, they closed the door, and I was laid off. No backup plan. No second income. Just shame and fear.

That moment broke me, but it also woke me up. I realized no degree, no resume, no employer can protect you forever. Your life can change in five minutes.

That’s when I committed to learning a real skill, something no one could take away from me. Day trading gave me options, control, and a backup plan. In a world changing fast, that matters more than ever.

Thank you @thegexstream for the Gamma Exposure data. Since my strategy relies on momentum, shifting from a 3:1R to a 2:1R take profit during high gamma compression makes my profit-taking more logical and statistically optimal.
