Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will not tolerate Turkish presence "further south" in Syria, after the Israeli Air Force bombed a Syrian airport where Israel says Turkey was planning to deploy forces.
"We will not tolerate a Turkish military presence establishing itself further south, because it threatens us. We conveyed that. Now, we saw that Turkey intends to establish itself at an airport south of its line, near Aleppo, and we conveyed a message," Netanyahu says in a video published on his X account.
"The message was conveyed, but apparently it was not heard, so we made sure they understood it better," he adds, referring to the strike on Abu al-Duhur base.
I can't believe that the IDF lied about murdering kids. It's so out of character for them.
Israel only admits crimes when they're caught red-handed in front of the world committing them (droning the World Food Aid cars, destroying Christian iconography in Lebanon, slaughtering aid workers and buying their ambulances in Gaza but forgetting to destroy the cell phone footage, etc).
Otherwise they just lie and deny everything and call everyone who documents it an anti-Semite.
Arms sales to Israel are slowing. But that’s only half the story
By continuing to purchase weapons from Israel, foreign governments are sustaining the infrastructure, expertise, and financing it needs to wage its next war.

1,362 university students have been murdered by #Israel in #Gaza since October 2023.
Yet the Irish @DeptJusticeIRL is denying some of the most gifted students visas to #Ireland due to "gaps in their education".
Their universities were bombed. 😠

One of the victims of israel’s terrorist attack in Gaza an hour ago was 13-year-old Dana al-Jamasi. I just found this video of her on her school’s page in 2021 singing with her class an alphabet song. She was in 3rd grade.
The israelis have killed at least 10 Palestinians in a targeted air strike, including police officers & personnel — some victims are torn to pieces https://t.co/9tm9pEC8vT
Trump imposes sanctions on two more senior International Criminal Court officials, all in his quest so that American and Israeli officials can commit war crimes (and worse) with impunity. No one should accept this utter lawlessness. https://t.co/bFHxUUOBhF
Israel halts all defense exports to Qatar in abrupt policy shift
——
Israel has instituted a sweeping suspension of all defense exports to Qatar, moving to cut off future military sales and terminate ongoing maintenance or support for past contracts.
According to a broadcast by Israel's Channel 12, the decision stems from a hardening stance within Israeli security circles that views Doha as an adversarial state working against Israeli interests.
The abrupt policy shift targets military tech and subcontracted hardware previously green-lit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Foreign Ministry.
Despite lacking formal diplomatic ties, Israeli defense firms have historically supplied specialized components integrated into broader western military packages, including avionics, night-vision gear, and air defense systems.
VIDEO | Israeli occupation forces and settlers launch over 450 attacks across occupied West Bank
Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers carried out at least 467 separate attacks against Palestinian communities throughout the occupied West Bank over the past week.
The Palestinian prime minister's office reported the surge in violence via social media, highlighting that the coordinated assaults resulted in structural damage to 75 Palestinian homes and various other properties.
The prime minister's office warned that the campaign is driving widespread displacement and systematic destruction across the territory.
"Anti-Israel zealots" is an interesting way for The Economist to describe people who think slaughtering thousands of small children is wrong.

Call on @OCallaghanJim to accept Gaza students' visas, as they must be in Ireland before September to take on their courses.
The students are so incredibly worried and are clinging to any hope. Sign the petition here: https://t.co/yQ3HsmNUff
The Palestinian Medical Relief Society and Doctors Without Borders (MSF) have issued urgent warnings regarding the imminent collapse of Gaza's remaining healthcare infrastructure.
The systematic Israeli restrictions on the entry of essential fuel, engine oil, and spare parts are threatening the continuous operation of electrical generators across hospitals and health facilities. Out of 34 oxygen production plants in Gaza, 22 are already completely out of service, leaving the remaining 12 at risk of total breakdown due to power depletion and a lack of maintenance equipment.

One of Gaza’s top journalists Mohammed Arab is barely recognisable after more than two years in israeli custody, with visible signs of abuse https://t.co/ZUtqOkzm6s
Decisions to deny visas to Gaza students are procedurally and legally flawed. Unreasonable demands being imposed regarding documentation. And an astonishing list of bogus reasons given for the refusals.

The Palestinian city of Umm al-Fahm isn’t even in the illegally occupied West Bank. It’s in what’s been considered Israel since 1948.
The Palestinian wedding goers face down on the ground are the “citizens” Israel tells you have the same rights as Israeli Jews.
A.H., in his twenties, a father of one from Hebron District, was released in April 2024 from Ketziot Prison after two years in administrative detention, weighing half of his original weight. In his testimony, he describes a severe ordeal that included severe sexual assault. This testimony joins a series of accounts from other prisoners regarding violent sexual assaults, alongside brutal beatings, the setting of dogs on inmates, and severe torture.
A.H.'s case is part of a widespread, institutionalized policy. As of July 2026, 9,299 Palestinians are detained in Israel’s network of torture camps in inhumane conditions that include starvation, the denial of medical care, and daily violence, conditions that have led to the deaths of at least 90 Palestinians since October 2023. This policy is being carried out with the full backing of Israel’s political and legal systems, with the Minister of National Security even publicly boasting about the worsening of the prisoners' conditions.

Nine buses became five. Five now became two. At capacity, The Sameer Project operated 9 free bus routes across Gaza, helping people reach hospitals, markets, family, and the basic necessities of daily life.
As donations fell, we cut that number to 5, at peoples’ dismay. Please please help: https://t.co/1j2S3RoAgU
Now, we are down to just 2 emergency buses during this pause of operations. Stopping these two in particular would have cost lives.
One transports kidney dialysis patients to Al Shifa Hospital for treatment they cannot miss. The other transports amputee patients to Hamad Hospital for rehabilitation and care.
It costs us an average of $500 per day to keep these two lifelines moving. But Gaza does not need fewer buses. It needs more transportation. More access. More freedom of movement. People living through displacement, injury, illness, and destruction should not have to wonder whether they can afford to reach a hospital.
We cannot rebuild our transportation network on unpredictable donations. Monthly donors give us predictability. Predictability allows us to plan. And planning allows us to keep Gaza moving.
Sign up for a monthly donation to our General Fund and help us go from 2 buses, back to 5, and eventually back to 9 or more: https://t.co/1j2S3RoAgU
