We are glad to see @microtabi 's work featured on the poster for the Boston Bacterial Meeting! Dr. Ramirez-Puebla explains, "This image shows a dense and diverse microbial community around a core of human tongue cells."
Almost 30yrs after Sandmeier's first look for Pg #phages in the oral microbiome, we've found there are plenty! Congrats 🎉 to @colematrishin on his beautiful first 1st-author work & to great team incl @JMarkWelch @Fabisilla & others #notontwitter - data: https://t.co/m50ECy97cD
And histories like these happen frequently all over the academic world. This has to end. Stopping this is part of research integrity (not to say plain, old decency) https://t.co/NOnpMqWiL8
Welcome Dr. Jessica Mark Welch who has joined Forsyth as a senior faculty member of staff. Dr. Welch studies the spatial organization of microbial communities using spectral imaging microscopy and genomic techniques.
So very excited to finally share our paper on phage-driven evolution of wild bacteria out now in @ScienceMagazine! Huge props and thanks to my entire lab family and dream team, esp. my partner in crime @JavierDubert and my mentors @FredoLeRoux @MartinPolz https://t.co/LLxzDFyNe8
Our new study, out today in @CellPressNews, shows symbiotic TM7 bacteria isolated from periodontal disease reduce inflammation & bone loss in a mouse model, suggesting TM7 protect by altering their bacterial hosts. #microbiology#oralhealth#symbiosis https://t.co/vauVdRljDz
Congratulations to Dr. Hatice Hasturk, Director of Forsyth's Center for Clinical & Translational Research, for being named the 2020–2021 recipient of the @AmerDentalAssn Norton M. Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research! Read more: https://t.co/fElfPmGZ8k #clinicalresearch

How microbes are spatially organized is a fundamental question in microbial ecology about which little is known. Work from the lab of Gary Borisy permits inferences about community dynamics and oral mixrobial ecology.

Pre-print by @alon_shaiber, @AmyDWillis, @tomodelmont et al:
"Functional and genetic markers of niche partitioning among enigmatic members of the human oral microbiome"
Brings together pangenomics, phylogenomics, and metagenomics to tell a TM7 story from the human oral cavity.
Yesterday I published CFR graphs comparing the Mexican #COVID19 data with those of New York State, #USA & #Canada, where #Mexico has the highest values and steepest slope https://t.co/UxcjgycA0b. In this #thread 🧵 I explore the impact of #undertesting in #epidemic analyses 1/7
We're officially less than 10 days away from the 17th annual MSI symposium. This year's poster is here👇and you can register at this link: https://t.co/0oC9zGcsdh
