A senior citizen and the province’s only police surgeon for years, Dr Aisha Faiz deserves honour and respect, not arrest and mistreatment.

Dr Aisha Faiz recently retired after years of dedicated service to humanity. Her arrest is not merely an attack on an individual doctor; it reflects the rapidly shrinking civic and democratic space in Balochistan.

When the Chief Minister of Balochistan recently announced, in an authoritarian and deeply irresponsible manner, that the apple orchards of Mastung would be destroyed and residents would be forced to leave their homes and live as internally displaced persons (IDPs), concerned citizens rightly raised their voices. Dr Aisha Faiz was among those who criticised the consequences of such a policy.

These are not simply trees that can be removed without consequence. These apple orchards were cultivated by local communities through years of labour, investment and care. The fruit they produce provides families with income and sustains an important local agricultural economy. Destroying these orchards therefore means destroying productive assets, livelihoods and the economic foundations of local communities.

At the same time, the destruction of these orchards would have serious environmental consequences. Trees play an important role in maintaining soil stability, protecting biodiversity, supporting local ecosystems and regulating the local environment. Their removal can contribute to soil erosion, loss of habitat, degradation of agricultural land and increased environmental vulnerability.
This is therefore not simply a dispute over trees. It is a question of environmental protection, people’s livelihoods, agricultural land, economic security and the right of communities to have a meaningful say in decisions that directly affect their lives.

Instead of addressing these legitimate concerns, the authorities chose to arrest a senior citizen from her home.

The fundamental question is: Why is a powerful public official not held accountable for announcing a policy that could destroy people’s livelihoods and displace communities, while a citizen who raises concerns about its consequences is punished?

The arrest of Dr Aisha Faiz exposes the oppressive governance in Balochistan. A government that responds to criticism with arrests demonstrates not strength, but intolerance and insecurity.

Dr Aisha Faiz must be released immediately. Her dignity must be respected, and the government must answer the legitimate concerns surrounding the proposed destruction of apple orchards, environmental damage and the displacement of local communities.

This elderly person deserved comfort, dignity, and access to healthcare.
These mothers and women should have been living today with their families, surrounded by love and peace.

But today, jet bombing changed everything.
It took away childhood, homes, loved ones, and the dreams of families.

Dreams were shattered. Hope was taken away, and families were left with grief.

The people of Surab are not numbers. They are human beings ,with families, dreams, and lives that deserve to be protected.

This is how Pakistan marks its formation and existence, through the killing of innocent Baloch civilians, including children, and through genocide. Last night, Pakistani forces bombed the town of Gondan in Surab, Balochistan. At least 20 bodies have been recovered from the rubble, while many others remain injured and in need of urgent medical assistance.

The affected area is surrounded by Pakistani forces, restricting access for rescue teams, medical staff, ambulances, and journalists. Blocking humanitarian assistance and independent documentation compounds the grave human rights violations and demands immediate international attention.

I urge journalists, medical teams, humanitarian organizations, and people around the world to demand immediate access to the affected area, ensure medical assistance reaches survivors.

For the past 8 days, my sister Dr. Mahrang Baloch and other BYC leaders have been holding a sit-in inside jail against unfair faceless trials and demanding fair and transparent proceedings.

Today, the families of detained BYC leaders staged a sit-in outside Hudda Jail against this injustice and faceless trials. Our demands are clear: end faceless trials, convert proceedings into open court hearings, and replace the biased judge. We will continue our struggle until this oppression ends.

The bloodshed in Kuntani, Gwadar is another brutal reminder that the lives of Baloch civilians continue to be treated as expendable under militarized policies in Balochistan. Reports of security forces opening fire on unarmed Baloch labourers, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries, expose the violent reality hidden behind state narratives of “development” and “security.” The people of Gwadar are facing bullets, checkpoints, disappearances, and collective punishment while their homeland is handed over for strategic and economic interests.

For years, the Baloch population in Gwadar has endured militarization, intimidation, arbitrary detentions, and systematic exclusion from their own resources and coastline. The same region promoted globally as an economic gateway has become a place where indigenous families struggle for basic survival, access to water, freedom of movement, and safety from state violence. A development model built on fear, repression, and the silencing of local communities cannot be called progress.

The international community must stop ignoring the worsening human rights crisis in Balochistan. The continued targeting of civilians, enforced disappearances, and deadly crackdowns demand immediate independent investigation and accountability. Silence in the face of these violations only strengthens impunity and prolongs the suffering of the Baloch people.

اما ہئوری اُن ماؤں کے قافلے کی ایک توانا اور باہمت ساتھی تھیں جو اپنے جبری طور پر گمشدہ بیٹوں کی تلاش میں برسوں سے دربدر ہیں۔ اب ہمیں اس بات کا شدید دکھ رہے گا کہ دن بھر احتجاج اور دھرنوں کی تھکن کے بعد ہمیں ہنسا دینے، ہمارا حوصلہ بڑھانے والی اماں ہئوری اب ہمارے درمیان موجود نہیں ہوں گی۔

دہائی سے زائد عرصے تک اؔما ہئوری ہمارے ہر احتجاج اور ہر دھرنے میں شریک رہیں۔ وہ مسلسل اپنے گمشدہ بیٹے کی بازیابی کا مطالبہ کرتی رہیں۔ مگر اس جدوجہد کا سب سے دردناک پہلو یہ ہے کہ وہ بھی بے شمار دوسری ماؤں کی طرح اپنے بیٹے کے انتظار اور اس کے غم کو دل میں لیے اس دنیا سے رخصت ہو گئیں۔

آج اماں ہئوری کی قبر تک تو پہنچ گئی ہے، مگر ان کے بیٹے کی تصویر اب بھی ان کی لاش کے سینے پر ایک خاموش چیخ بن کر وہی سوال دہرا رہی ہے۔
یہ تصویر اس ریاست کی بے حسی پر بڑا سوالیہ نشان ہے کہ ایک ماں ��ے چودہ برس تک پرامن احتجاج کیا، اپنے گمشدہ بیٹے کی واپسی کا سوال اٹھاتی رہی، مگر قبر تک پہنچ گئی اور یہ ریاست اس کے سوالوں کا کوئی جواب نہ دے سکی۔

عوام اس پورے نظام کو بغور دیکھیں اور یہ حقیقت سمجھ لیں کہ ریاستی ادارے لوگوں کو محض اس لیے خاموش کر رہے ہیں کہ لاقانونیت، جبر اور استحصال کا موجودہ نظام بغیر کسی مزاحم�� کے قائم رکھا جا سکے۔ اختلافی آوازوں کو دبانا دراصل ان پالیسیوں اور اقدامات کو تحفظ فراہم کرنے کی کوشش ہے جو قانون، آئین اور عوامی مفاد کے سراسر خلاف ہیں۔

بلاسفیمی کے نام پر چلنے والے کاروبار کو بے نقاب کرنے پر جیل، جبری گمشدگیوں، غنڈہ گردی اور کرپشن پر سوال اٹھانے پر جیل، ہیلتھ الاؤنس، میرٹ کی پامالی اور بجٹ کی بدانتظامی پر آواز بلند کرنے پر جیل، اور خواتین کے حقوق کی بات کرنے پر بھی جیل—جبکہ قتل و غارت، لوٹ مار اور دھمکیوں کا سلسلہ کھلے عام جاری ہے۔

ایسے حالات میں یہ بات بالکل واضح ہے کہ جن افراد کو “ملکی سلامتی” کے نام پر، “بیرونی ایجنٹ”، “غدار” یا “دہشت گرد” قرار دے کر قید کیا جا رہا ہے، وہ درحقیقت باشعور اور بے قصور شہری ہیں۔ اس کے برعکس، ان کے خلاف جھوٹا بیانیہ گھڑنے والے، دھمکیاں دینے والے، گرفتار کرنے اور ہراساں کرنے والے عناصر خود مجرم، قانون شکن اور ملک کے حقیقی دشمن ہیں۔

کرپشن، بلاسفیمی بزنس، مہنگائی، عوام کا استحصال، جبری گمشدگیاں، ماورائے عدالت قتل اور میرٹ کی پامالی کسی ایک طبقے یا کسی ایک خ��ے کا مسئلہ نہیں، بلکہ یہ پورے ملک کو اندر سے کھوکھلا کر رہی ہیں اور عوام کو ریاستی نظام سے بدظن کر رہی ہیں۔

آج ایمان مزاری، ماہرنگ، بیبو، گلزادی، بیبرگ، علی وزیر، شاہ جی اور دیگر بے شمار افراد کو اگر کچھ ادارے ناپسند کرتے ہیں اور انہیں خاموش کیا جا رہا ہے تو یہ ان اداروں کی جانب سے اپنے جرائم پر پردہ ڈالنے کا واحد ذریعہ ہے، نہ کہ ان افراد کے مجرم ہونے کا کوئی ثبوت۔

اس تاریخی فسطائیت کے خلاف خاموشی جرم ہے۔ عوام پر لازم ہے کہ وہ حق اور باطل میں فرق کو پہچانیں، جبر کے اس نظام کو مسترد کریں اور انصاف، آئین اور انسانی حقوق کے حق میں اپنی آواز بلند کریں

آج مجھے اور ہادی کو ٹویٹس کیس میں سزا سنائی جا رہی ہے اس کے باوجود کے ٹرانسفر کی intimation دے دی گئی ہے۔ پورا ٹرائل عدالت نے خود چلایا - پروسیکیوشن اویڈنس ہماری غیر موجودگی میں ریکارڈ کیا گیا۔ گواہان پر جرح سٹیٹ ڈیفینس کونسل نے کی جس پر ہم نے عدم اعتماد کا اظہار کیا تھا۔ کل 342 اسٹیٹمینٹ بھی اس ہی ڈیفینس کونسل نے جمع کروا دی- نا ہم نے دیکھی ہے اور نا ہی ہم سے کسی نے کچھ پوچھا۔ ہمارے لیے یہ سزا اس بات کی recognition ہے کے ہم نے ظلم کے سامنے کلمہ حق بُلند کیا۔ ہم جیل کی سلاخوں کو خوشی سے اپنائینگے لیکن آپ اس بدنامی کو کبھی نہیں بھول پائینگے۔

ہمیں جیل میں ڈالنے سے آپ کے گندے کرتوت کوئی نہیں بھولے گا - اس ملک کو آپ نے توڑا، آپ نے ڈالروں کے لیے بد امنی اور خون خرابا کیا، بلوچ نسل کشی کی، پشتون نسل کشی کی، غریب عوام کے وسائل پر دن دہاڑے ڈاکہ ڈالا، بے گناہ لوگوں کو جھوٹے توہین مذہب کے مقدمات میں پھنسایا، الیکشن چوری کیا، پارلیمان اور عدالتوں کو ہائجیک کیا۔ ہمیں جیل بھیجنے سے آپ کے جرائم نہ��ں مٹ جائینگے۔ اور ہماری آواز آپ دبائینگے تو اور لوگوں کی آواز ہماری آواز میں شامل ہوگی۔ اس غلط فہمی میں نا رہے کہ کیونکہ آپ بزدل ہے تو ہم سب بھی آپ جیسے ہونگے۔ جیل جسم کو قید کرتا ہے، سوچ کو نہیں۔ لیکن جنہے سوچنے کی صلاحیت ہی نہیں، انہے ہم کیا سمجھائے؟

ہم نے اپنی پوری کوشش کی ہے کہ جو ہم کر سکے ہم کرے۔ لیکن یہ زمیداری ہم سب کی ہے۔ اندر جانے سے پہلے آپ سب سے بس ایک ہی ریکویسٹ ہے۔۔۔ یاد رکھے کہ ہماری جنگ کسی ایک فرد کے لیے نہیں، یہ ہماری بقا کی جنگ ہے۔ اگر آج آپ نہیں لڑینگے، باری باری ذلت والی موت کی تیاری کرے۔ اس ملک میں نا تو کوئی آئین ہے نا قانون نا پارلیمان نا عدالتیں اور نا ہی میڈیا۔

جب تک عوام کی dignity, life اور آزادی کو تحفظ نہیں دیا جائے گا تب تک آج میں تو کل آپ اندر ہونگے۔ جو ہمیں سزا دے رہے ہے اور جن کی چابی پر دی جا رہی ہے، انہے یاد رکھنا چاہیے:

“آہ! تم فطرتِ انسان کے ہم راز نہیں
میری ��واز، یہ تنہا مِری آواز نہیں

اَن گنت روحوں کی فریاد ہے شامل اِس میں
سسکیاں بن کے دھڑکتے ہیں کئی دل اِس میں

تہہ نشیں موج یہ طوفان بنے گی اک دن
نہ ملے گا کسی تحریک کو ساحل اِس میں

اِس کی یلغار مِری ذات پہ موقوف نہیں
اِس کی گردش مِرے دن رات پہ موقوف نہیں

ہنس تو سکتے ہو، گرفتار تو کر سکتے ہو
خوار و رسوا سرِ بازار تو کر سکتے ہو
اپنی قہّار خدائی کی نمائش کے لیے
مجھے نذرِ رسن و دار تو کر سکتے ہو

تم ہی تم قادرِ مطلق ہو، خدا کچھ بھی نہیں؟
جسمِ انساں میں دماغوں کے سوا کچھ بھی نہیں

آہ! یہ سچ ہے کہ ہتھیار کے بل بوتے پر
آدمی نادر و چنگیز تو بن سکتا ہے
ظاہری قوت و سطوت کی فراوانی سے
لینن و ہٹلر و انگریز تو بن سکتا ہے

سخت دشوار ہے انساں کا مکمل ہونا
حق و انصاف کی بنیاد پہ افضل ہونا”

We take firm stance against the enforced disappearances of Nazia, along with her mother, followed by her death in Panjgur

We ask to immediately make the culprits practically accountable for the heinous crime

As Baloch Women Forum (BWF), we are sorry for the family of Nazia who went through state barbarism and succumbed to her injuries. Nazia Shafi — the victim — and her mother were forcibly disappeared from their home in Panchi area of Panjgur district on October 28, 2025, and thrown critically wounded in the Panjgur hospital after physical assault and torture. Nazia could not survive while her mother is going through a critical health condition since the day of the incident.

The systematic human rights infringements have put Balochistan to a position where we have lost faith on the existing system owing to its brutalities at our face. Baloch women are deliberately put in this situation so as to violate the indigenous culture, norms and traditions and maintain their slow-poisoning of the Baloch society at large. Yes, Nazia is not the first name: but if we continue to maintain our criminal silence — by not resisting — we will face the consequences harder than we can even imagine.

We, as a stakeholder Baloch party, cannot, at least, endorse state’s illegal acts as these and will continue to resist them and raise our voice in every available platform. We also urge the international community to consider the issues regarding Baloch in general, and of Baloch women in particular, to press the state and its notorious institutions from further violating the fundamental human rights of the Baloch.

کل جب پنجگور سے ایک ماں اور بیٹی کی جبری گمشدگی، جنسی تشدد، اور پھر بیٹی کی موت کی خبر سامنے آئی، تو میں نے اسی متعلق سوشل میڈیا پر پوسٹ کیا۔ آج اپنے اسی پوسٹ پر میں نے کمینٹس پڑھے ، کچھ لوگوں نے کہا “یہ جھوٹ ہے، یہ پروپیگنڈا ہے، یہ ریاست دشمن بیانیہ ہے۔” کچھ لوگ سچائی کے ثبوت مانگ رہے تھے، کچھ لوگ گروک سے تصدیق کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں اور سچ جاننا چاہتے ہے تو ان سوالات سے میرے بھی ذہن میں ایک سوال ابھرا کہ سچ کیا ہے؟ اور سچ کس کا ہے؟

میشل فوکو کہتا ہے کہ سچ ہمیشہ طاقت سے بندھا ہوتا ہے۔ وہ محض کسی واقعے کی حقیقت نہیں، بلکہ ایک طاقتی ڈھانچے کی پیداوار ہے۔ یعنی جس کے پاس طاقت ہے، وہی یہ طے کرتا ہے کہ “سچ” کیا ہے، اور “جھوٹ” کیا ہے۔ اسی لیے ایک بلوچ عورت کی زندگی، اسکے ساتھ ہونے والے درندگی سب “جھوٹ” قرار پاتی ہے، اور ریاست جس کے پاس طاقت ہے اس کی کسی بھی نمائندے کی تردید “سچ” بن جاتی ہے۔

بلوچ چونکہ مظلوم ہے اور مظلوم کا سچ ظالم کے لیے کبھی سچ نہیں ہوتا، کیونکہ سچ صرف طاقت کی زبان سے ادا ہونے والے الفاظ کو سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ وہ زبان جو ریاستی اداروں، میڈیا، اور نظامِ علم نے تشکیل دی ہے۔ فوکو کے مطابق یہ “regime of truth” ہے ، ایک ایسا نظام جو صرف طاقت کے دائرے میں موجود سچائی کو پہچانتا ہے، اور باقی سب کو خاموش کر دیتا ہے۔

ایڈورڈ سعید کے مطابق، طاقت صرف ہتھیار یا فوج نہیں، بلکہ علم اور بیانیہ بھی ہے۔ جس طرح مغرب نے مشرق کو “Orient” کے نام سے تعریف کر کے اسے ہمیشہ ایک غیر، کمزور، اور غیر متمدن وجود کے طور پر پیش کیا، اسی طرح پاکستانی ریاست نے بلوچ عوام کو شک، غداری اور بغاوت کے استعارے میں قید کر رکھا ہے۔
یہ وہی “استعماری بیانیہ” ہے جو مظلوم کے دکھ کو افسانہ بنا دیتا ہے، تاکہ طاقت کی برتری پر کوئی سوال نہ اٹھ سکے۔

پنجگور کی اس لڑکی کی کہانی ، جو ریاستی جبر اور سماجی خاموشی کے درمیان کہیں دفن ہو گئی ، صرف ایک واقعہ نہیں، بلکہ ایک علمی، اخلاقی، اور فکری جنگ ہے۔
یہ اس سچ کی جنگ ہے جسے طاقت “جھوٹ” قرار دیتی ہے،یہ اس حقیقت کی جنگ ہے جو انتہائی قرب ناک و وہشت ناک ہوکر جھوٹ کے لقب میں دفن ہوجاتی ہے
بلوچستان وہ سرزمین ہے جہاں انٹرنیٹ بند ہے، بلوچ اپنی میڈیا سے محروم ہے، یہاں سچ بولنے والا یا تو غائب کر دیا جاتا ہے یا مار دیا جاتا ہے۔ یہاں “خبر” صرف وہی بن سکتی ہے جو طاقت کو راس آئے۔جو ریاستی بیانیے کو مقصود ہو، باقی سب جھوٹ ہے، چیخیں، آہیں، انتظار، آنسو، وہشت، سب جھوٹ ہے کیونکہ یہ طاقت کے زبان سے بیان نہیں ہورہے۔

بلوچستان کا سچ فوکوالٹین سچ ہے ، وہ سچ جو طاقت کے مقابل بولتا ہے، جو نظمِ علم کے خلاف مزاحمت کرتا ہے، جو غیاب میں موجود رہ کر بھی صداقت کی سب سے بلند صورت بن جاتا ہے۔اور یہ سعید کے استعماری تجزیے سے جڑا ہوا سچ ہے ، جو یہ یاد دلاتا ہے کہ ہر مظلوم قوم کی کہانی دنیا کے مرکز سے نہیں، بلکہ اس کے کناروں سے لکھی جاتی ہے۔

دنیا کو یہ جاننے کی ضرورت ہے کہ بلوچ لڑکی کا دکھ کوئی محض “خبر” نہیں، بلکہ ایک پوری قوم کے ساتھ روا رکھی جانے والی علمی، اخلاقی اور انسانی ناانصافی کی علامت ہے۔ طاقت کے اس شور میں مظلوم کی خاموشی ہی سب سے بڑا احتجاج ہے۔ اور آج اگر مظلوم کا سچ خاموشی کی تہوں میں دب گیا ہے، تو کل وہ احتجاج کی صورت میں ابھرے گا ۔ ��ہ احتجاج ایک مزاحمت بن کر جو کسی بھی صورت، کسی بھی آواز، اور کسی بھی شکل میں اپنا اظہار کرے گی۔ اس دن مظلوم کا سچ ایک گونج بن جائے گا ۔ ایسا شور جو فراموش نہیں کیا جا سکے گا

ایک فوجی آفیسر کی یہ جرات کیسے ہو سکتی ہے کہ وہ عوام کی منتخب کی ہوئی کسی بھی حکومت کو قبول نہ کرنے کی بات کرے۔ یہ غیر آئینی بیان ہے جسکی سیاستدانوں، صحافیوں، وکلا سمیت معاشرے کے تمام طبقات کو مذمت کرنی چاہئے ۔
