Europe is now debating structures, mandates, reorganisation.
The debate should be about Europe's foreign policy compass ⤵️

Its leaders congratulate autocrats on tenure.
➡️ This debate about the foreign service reorganisation is a distraction from that failure.
What might be the cherry on the cake is the “thank you darling” at the end, said with such disdain, disrespect and disregard to a prominent and highly respected journalist. @kwelkernbc
This interview hurt my soul. The mistreatment of black women and journalists by this President is down right embarrassing and unacceptable. Kristin Welker is neither crooked or stupid. She is a history making journalist who has earned the right to be respected. The President should apologize immediately.

Crediting environmental human rights defenders is one of the most important, and easy, first protection step.

We really value politicians involved on climate, environment and human rights 🌻
What @coe is truly problematic: in an article about the 1st Forum on Environmental Human Rights Defenders, it names, credits, recognises no human rights defender. Only mentioning officials ⚠️
As the 1st European Forum on Environmental Human Rights Defenders opened in Strasbourg, Human Rights Compass's new brief shows why climate justice is the new frontier of human rights ⚖️🌍

Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze makes a point 🎯
Why hold the Georgian Dream government accountable for violations of rule of law and human rights, whilst allowing Azerbaijan to continue a decade long repression?
#DoubleStandard doesn't help anybody uphold democracy.
Prime Minister of #Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, commenting on relations with the United States, said that “Washington has built a new level of partnership with #Armenia and #Azerbaijan without imposing any political conditions on these neighboring countries - neither the release of prisoners nor anything else, not even regarding the opposition. No conditions at all.”
He added that if the U.S. applies different approaches to countries in the region, “it will be regrettable”: “If they see double standards, that will be double standards, and it will be very sad.”
Kobakhidze again said the reason for the breakdown of what was once a very close strategic partnership between Tbilisi and Washington was that the previous U.S. administration (under President Joe Biden) allegedly wanted Georgia to “open a second front” and enter a war with Russia. When Georgia refused, cooperation was halted, he claimed.
Now, the Georgian prime minister says Georgia expects a fair approach from the U.S. and the restoration of relations without political bias.
In recent days, representatives of the U.S. State Department Charles Yocke and Peter Andreoli have been visiting Georgia, holding meetings with both government officials and representatives of the opposition and civil society.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: The Strait is going to be open to everybody. It’s international waters. We’ll watch over it, but nobody’s going to control it.
Oman will behave like everybody else or we’ll have to blow them up. They understand that.
