One thing you can’t take away from Governor Uba Sani is his humility and willingness to listen. He has also done remarkably well in surrounding himself with quality people, young and old alike.
Whenever I see him with Leme, it genuinely gives me joy. There’s something reassuring about seeing good people working together.
Feedback to UBA – WAEC/Independent Layout Branch, Enugu
@UBACares@UBAGroup@UBANigeriaPlc
Today, I visited the UBA branch around WAEC/Independent Layout, Enugu, and while I was there, I noticed something that I believe deserves attention.
Throughout my time with Customer Support, I had to remain standing while being attended to. There were no chairs or suitable seating arrangements for customers receiving assistance at the Customer Support desk.
This can be quite uncomfortable, especially for customers who may have to wait for some time before their issues are resolved. Other banks provide seating arrangements that allow customers to sit comfortably while being attended to.
I kindly suggest that UBA consider providing high-standing stools or suitable chairs around the Customer Support area so customers can sit and relax while receiving assistance.
And if UBA is looking for where to get quality high-standing stools, they can as well buy them from us at Mratm Interiors, Enugu. 😄 We would be happy to help upgrade the customer experience at the branch.
UBA is a reputable bank, and small improvements like this can make a significant difference to the overall customer experience.
I hope this feedback reaches the appropriate management team and is considered positively. Thank you.
As a matter of principle, the two airlines I normally fly with in Nigeria are Air Peace and Ibom Air because of their efficiency and customer service.
Today at the airport, I simply wanted to buy a ticket at the counter and travel to Lagos. Two guys approached me and asked that I patronise another airline instead of Air Peace. I told them that if it was not Air Peace or Ibom Air, I would rather go by Ekenedilichukwu.
They insisted that I should just try another airline, saying there is always a first time.
I became both apprehensive and curious as to why they would not allow me to fly with one of my favourite airlines. One of them said, “Air Peace is a useless airline” that has refused to allow its workers to join their union.
I asked which union, and he replied that it was the aviation union. I further asked if that was why they would not allow me to buy an Air Peace ticket in ‘peace’. He said YES. I politely told him that he had no right whatsoever to stop me from buying an Air Peace ticket, and that he also had no right to force Air Peace workers to join their union.
If the workers are satisfied with how they are being treated by their management, I see no reason why the aviation union should compel them to join.
Union membership should not be imposed on employees against their will.
I spoke with an Air Peace staff member who happens to be an Igala man. He told me that they have enjoyed cordial relations with management for about 12 years and have regularly received salaries, promotions, healthcare benefits, allowances, and other entitlements.
He also cited travel privileges for themselves and their family members among other benefits.
If some universities can decide to opt out of unions like ASUU, I believe an airline that does not want to be part of a union should also be allowed to stay out. After all, the Constitution guarantees freedom of association.
Air Peace employs many of my people from Kogi, and I am particularly proud and thankful to them for that. This constant disruption of their operations by the aviation union needs to stop.
Trade unions have historically played an important and legitimate role in protecting workers, negotiating better conditions, and defending labour rights. However, if workers choose not to be part of a union, they should be allowed to remain outside it. Who knows, maybe one day they may need them.

Sen. Dickson Appoints Sani Takori, Vin-Martin Ilo, Steve Nwosu as Political Adviser, Chief Technical Adviser, Spokesperson
National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), His Excellency Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson, CON, has approved the appointments of Messrs. Sani Takori, VinMartinObiora Ilo and Steve Nwosu as Political Adviser, Chief Technical Adviser (CTA) and Spokesman respectively.
The appointments which, according to the former two-term Governor of Bayelsa, take immediate effect, are aimed at strengthening operations, administration and strategic communication around both the National Leader and the NDC, which Dickson midwifed, and which is now both the leading opposition party in Nigeria as well as the fastest growing political party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement signed by the NDC National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq., both Ilo and Nwosu come into the job with a track record of professionalism, credibility and integrity, while Hon Takori is a tested and trusted public administrator, with a hugely impressive political resumé.
A lawyer by training, Takori whose career started from the old Sokoto State, was variously a Registrar, Magistrate, Solicitor-General and later, Attorney- General and Commissioner for Justice in his native Zamfara State.
An Alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University and the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Takori was elected intothe House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, and on four occasions, secured his party’s senatorial ticket for his district, but voluntarily stepped down for candidates who eventually won the elections for the party.
A committed party man, Takori was the Zamfara State governorship candidate of APDA (Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance) to the 2019 Gubernatorial election. He is also a founding member of NDC, and its Protem National Secretary at its registration as a political party.
A one-time Local Government Chairman, Hon. Takori was National Legal Adviser to the Council of Ulamas, Chief Legal Officer of the Nigerian Electoral Commission and also served as secretary of the Yarima Presidential campaign in 2007, having served in the same capacity in 2003.
68- year-old lawyer-cum politician hails from Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara.
The new Chief Technical Adviser, VinMartin Obiora Ilo, is a media executive, broadcast journalist and development and international relations expert, with nearly four decades of experience across broadcasting, public service, strategic communications, and development consultancy.
An Alumnus of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Ilo is a graduate of Mass Communications from the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, with an MSc in Development Studies from the University of Nigeria Nsukkaand a Masters degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Lagos State University.
He started his career in Radio Nigeria, rising to the position of Network Newscaster before joining Africa Independent Television (AIT) where he retired in 2013 as Director Special Duties and South East Operations
A former Special Adviser Media to the Governor of Enugu State, he also served as a member of the Governing Board of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
Until his new appointment VinMartin Obiora Ilo was the President and CEO of Signature TV. He hails from Enugu State.
Similarly, Steve Nwosu, a long-standing associate of Sen. Dickson's, is a multi-platform Journalist, media administrator, Media consultant and political communication strategist, with practice cutting across, Print Media, Broadcasting and Online.
He is a celebrated columnist – writer of the hugely popular satirical weekly column, FRANKTALK, which is now syndicated.
The behaviour of voters sometimes amazes me.
So, some will leave an administration that invested heavily in healthcare, one that enabled the State to win $500,000 in the PHC Leadership Challenge 2024/2025 and a $1 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Governors’ Forum for an APC that has impoverished the people?
I am not a voter in Osun, but I will be mad if the APC gets up to 25,000 votes in this state.
Osun under the APC couldn’t fund healthcare, pay workers’ salaries, or build infrastructure, and some people want the state to go back to these dark times?
Well, the choice is for the people of Osun to make. The APC can’t win this state, and the only pathway for them is rigging.
They had better resist them.
Quite sad about this tbh. I would have loved Senator Bindow to remain with Atiku but I guess everyone has to follow their interest at this point. He will be a great addition to the APC in Adamawa and if care isn't taken APC might flip the Adamawa guber. They have almost everyone.
Story
On 22 July 2026, I became involved in a financial dispute that has left me with a significant loss, and I am asking for the public's help in bringing attention to my case.
I am a Nigerian cryptocurrency P2P trader. Over time, I completed several successful trades with a trader named Mr. Kenneth Mercer-Wood through the OKX P2P platform. Because our previous transactions had gone smoothly, I trusted him when we entered into another trade.
During that transaction, I sold 2,794.11 USDT. Payment of 9,500 Israeli Shekels (ILS) was sent to the designated Bank Leumi account for the purchase of the cryptocurrency.
After the transfer appeared, I was informed by the recipient that they preferred to wait because they believed certain Bank Leumi-to-Bank Leumi transfers could potentially be reversed within a short period. I communicated this concern to Mr. Mercer-Wood and asked if he could wait until the payment was confirmed as final before I released the cryptocurrency.
According to my understanding of what happened, Mr. Mercer-Wood insisted that I release the USDT immediately. Because we had completed several successful trades in the past, I trusted him and released the cryptocurrency.
Only a few hours later, I was informed that the 9,500 ILS transfer had been reversed, leaving me without both the payment and the 2,794.11 USDT I had already released.
I contacted Mr. Mercer-Wood immediately. He later told me that the bank informed him the transfer had been reversed and said he had not personally requested the reversal. Since then, despite many conversations and promises to visit the bank and resolve the issue, I have still not recovered my money or my cryptocurrency.
I have preserved evidence relating to this matter, including the transfer receipt, our communications, and videos connected to the transaction. I have also submitted complaints to the relevant platforms and am seeking assistance from the appropriate authorities.
I am not asking anyone to harass, threaten, or make assumptions about anyone's guilt. I am simply asking for my case to receive attention so that the appropriate authorities and platforms can review the evidence and help ensure a fair resolution.
If you believe in fairness and accountability, please help by reposting this, sharing it widely, and tagging the relevant authorities and organizations that may be able to assist.

Today, we take another decisive step in our collective journey towards building a more united, peaceful and inclusive Kaduna State.
After wide consultations, deep reflection and earnest prayers, I am delighted to announce the nomination of Mr. Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, CNA, as my running mate in the 2027 Governorship Election.
This decision is far greater than the selection of a deputy governorship candidate. It is a reaffirmation of the values that have guided our administration since I took the oath of office on 29 May 2023; the values of inclusion, justice, fairness, equity and the unwavering conviction that every citizen of Kaduna State deserves a genuine sense of belonging.
Kaduna is a remarkable state, blessed with extraordinary diversity of faiths, ethnicities and cultures. That diversity is not a burden; it is our greatest strength. Our history has taught us difficult lessons about the heavy cost of division, mistrust and exclusion. Yet it has also shown us that when we choose dialogue over discord, inclusion over alienation, and justice over prejudice, our people achieve extraordinary things together.
For more than three years, our administration has worked tirelessly to heal old wounds and restore confidence in government. We have deliberately ensured that the dividends of democracy reach every part of our State. Across all 23 Local Government Areas, investments in roads, schools, hospitals, water supply, agriculture, rural development and social protection have been guided by one simple principle: no community should be left behind and no citizen should feel excluded.
Together with our traditional rulers, religious leaders, community organisations, women and youth groups, we have strengthened the foundations of peace through dialogue, mutual respect and shared development. As security has improved, farmers have returned to their lands, businesses have expanded, investments have grown and hope has steadily replaced fear in many communities. Our experience has affirmed a simple truth: lasting peace is built not only by security measures but by fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity.
It is in furtherance of this vision that I have chosen Mr. Jerry Adams to join me on this journey.
Jerry Adams is an accomplished public servant, an outstanding tax administrator and an institution builder whose leadership has transformed the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service into one of Nigeria's most respected revenue agencies. Through innovation, transparency & professionalism, he has helped strengthen our fiscal capacity, enabling government to invest even more in the education of our children, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture & other critical sectors that improve the lives of our people.
Beyond his impressive professional accomplishments, Jerry Adams is a man of integrity, humility and quiet strength. He has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to peace, reconciliation and inclusive governance, believing, as I do, that Kaduna's diversity must always unite us rather than divide us. His emergence reflects our continuing determination to build a Kaduna where merit, competence and character remain the true qualifications for leadership.
As we look towards 2027, I invite every son and daughter of Kaduna State to see this moment not through the narrow prism of religion, ethnicity or geography, but through the broader vision of the Kaduna we are building together; a Kaduna where every child can dream without fear, every community can flourish, every faith is respected & every citizen has an equal stake in our common future.
The work of building a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive Kaduna is not yet complete, but together we have laid a solid foundation. Together, we shall continue to strengthen that foundation and hand over to future generations a State that is more united, more secure, more just and more prosperous than we inherited.
May God continue to bless the good people of Kaduna State.
What we have been hearing from afar is now getting closer to our city, the FCT. Before now, when people heard about the farmer-herder crisis, they often thought of states far from the nation’s capital. Many people do not know that the farmer-herder crisis is also affecting some communities around the FCT.
I am actually impressed with the work that @therealmediaNG is doing in drawing attention to this crisis. The @therealmediaNG travelled across affected communities around the FCT, speaking with victims, community leaders, and experts to uncover the stories behind the headlines.
