@FirstSoxTheCat: a software-savvy skeptic dishing out cat wisdom, championing free speech and critiquing globalist agendas. Not here to buy, sell, or invest.
It may be a foolish conceit, but here's my new profile background, which I feel encapsulates the elite's attitude towards normies: the regular citizens, those who aren't members of preferred groups or ethnicities.

@badidol But unfortunately, it does make a difference. At the end of the day, England wants to be English, Scotland wants to be Scottish, Ireland wants to be Irish, and the USA wants to be American, with all the rights and mores associated. Immigration must be limited. It matters.

"Und weil der Mensch ein Mensch ist
Drum hat er Stiefel im Gesicht nicht gern
Er will unter sich keinen Sklaven sehen
Und über sich keinen Herrn
Because man is humane
He doesn't fancy boots in his face
He doesn't want a slave below him
And over himself no lord."
Bertolt Brecht, Einheitsfrontlied 3.Strophe. 1934.
🇬🇧 When you say the word tarmac... You have just said a Scotsman's name.🏴
Tar, laid over macadam. The macadam is the man.
John Loudon McAdam was born in Ayr in 1756. The Britain he grew up in moved at the speed of mud.
He was not an engineer and never trained as one. He was a merchant who could not stop studying roads, and he travelled Britain at his own expense to learn why they failed.
His answer was almost insultingly simple.
No grand foundations. Just small broken stones on a raised, drained bed, and let the traffic itself pack the surface tight. Cheap enough for any turnpike trust in the country.
🏛️ You were told great roads take an empire. Rome needed legions. McAdam needed broken stone and drainage.
In 1816, nearly 60, he got his chance at Bristol and remade the roads. The carts stopped sinking.
In 1823 Parliament examined his system and adopted it.
The work had cost him his own fortune. Parliament moved to repay him 5,000 pounds sterling, and rivals cut it to 2,000. He kept working anyway, and turned down a knighthood.
His method spread across Europe, then America. In 1902 a Welsh surveyor bound macadam with tar. Tarmac. 2 centuries on, the world walks and drives on his name.
An Ayrshire merchant paid his own way to fix everyone's road.
Britain moves because people like him refused to wait for permission.

I feel like I need to slope down to a couple two or three posts a day. There is much evil out there, but I need to pick and choose. Slayerofdemon's women who kill women makes today's list.
She was not called to give evidence at the House of Lords scrutiny committees that followed.
She was not reported to the bar for professional misconduct.
She will probably, at some point be rewarded with a Masonic badge and a judges position.
@japan_nobunaga Probably not news but:
1) When you return, you likely buy other things, more than making up the two dollars.
2) The chickens they rotisserie may have been near their expiration date: cooking gives them a second chance.
3) If they don't sell, the meat is shredded and sold.

If the federal government took 100% of Elon’s wealth, it would only fund the government for 52 days.
Then it’s gone, and there’s nothing left to take.
The problem isn’t trillionaires.
In a study on race and juror decision-making, participants evaluated an identical defendant whose name was either Bradley Schwartz or Jamal Gaines.
Black respondents were significantly more likely to convict and more harshly sentence the white-named defendant, while white respondents showed no statistically significant bias in either direction.
Leftist publication The Intercept blamed Donald Trump and his supporters for multiple bomb threats on Jewish institutions in February 2017. It turned out the threats came from one of The Intercept's staff reporters, Juan Thompson. He was convicted and sentenced to 60 months in prison.
Wells Fargo shut down my bank accounts when I was 17 hours away from home with no other way to pay for anything. I was stranded. They sent my entire bank account and savings to loss prevention in 2021, mailing me a check a month later.
Even today, Wells Fargo refuses to cash checks I bring in from their clients (they told me they don’t keep cash at the bank—seriously). When I tried to open a business account, they kept letting the application “expire” to indirectly refuse doing business with me, despite me signing everything and submitting all applications on time.
I am very happy to see that there is finally an investigation into Wells Fargo and the corruption going on within these big banks. No American should have to suffer financial blacklisting. Give them hell, Judge Jeanine!

They want White people canceled for sins from 160 years ago that none of us lived through, none of us committed, and that previous generations of White Americans fought to abolish.
Make it make sense.
🚨WHAT THE HELL?!!!
Two American employees of restaurant in Huntersville, NC say the company STOLE their identities to hire ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS in their place!!!
One of them opened his W-2 and discovered he owed taxes on more than $20,000 he NEVER EARNED.
...because someone was being paid as HIM, on HIS Social Security number.
The other employee logged into her account and saw a current illegal alien employee using HER name and using HER Social Security number at the restaurant she left.
It’s alleged the the company STOLE their identities to staff the kitchen with illegal immigrants.
Both say their home addresses and direct deposit accounts were changed after they left.
Not a SINGLE PERSON has been arrested for this as of today.
THIS IS MASSIVE FRAUD!!!!!!
🔥 Jeremy Clarkson had a fiery clash with BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire at the farmers’ protest against Reeves’ inheritance tax raid on family farms.
Victoria went straight for the gotcha:
“So it’s not about you, it’s not about your farm and the fact you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?”
Clarkson, visibly stunned:
“Classic BBC there, classic. The ‘fact’ that I bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax? The ‘fact’?”
Victoria doubled down: “You told The Sunday Times in 2021 that’s why you bought it?”
Clarkson, laughing in disbelief:
“These people… BBC. Let’s start from the beginning. I wanted to shoot. That’s even worse to the BBC. Which comes with the benefit of not having to pay inheritance tax.”
He pointed out the tax isn’t even an issue for him personally as he can simply put the farm in a trust, but he’s standing with ordinary family farms that will be hammered.
After sparring over the real numbers affected, Clarkson urged the government to U-turn.
Victoria: “And get the money from where?”
Clarkson: “Walk into any of the offices around here and if you don’t understand what somebody’s job is, fire them.” 😂
Classic Clarkson.
