@KevinWGlass@politicalmath I think having a system where votes are slow-roll counted in this manner is gonna be subjected to higher scrutiny and suspicion by voters.
@wyshynski You are such a fucking ghoul. You’re ostensibly a reporter and yet it seems that you no familiarity with the facts of the case beyond what you want to hear and mindlessly convey to your followers.
@Featherofyelk@bikelakecity As a driver and a pedestrian I’m way more tolerant of vehicles sticking slightly out into walking paths than I am of those who key someone’s car for some arbitrary, self-serving sense of justice. Because only pricks key cars.
@Adam_Mares You can’t understate how bare bones rec leagues are now. Casual rec league soccer when I was a kid meant 2 practices a week, multiple weeks leading up to first game. As a coach now I get 1 practice/week starting week of the first game. Admin support is 1 person for 1200 kids
@KevinWGlass Being trapped in a bus or train car with someone who’s violent or having an episode is certainly more visceral (especially when I have my kids with me) than stats about accidents on the road. So to me it makes sense to invest more in public safety for transit.
@KevinWGlass To me this raises the question of what are costs of making transit safer by keeping crazy or violent people off of it versus the costs of making safer? Seems like the latter would be much cheaper?
