@acalicodress@Gwenelope If you have an audible account, I found this valuable. It has actors reading the text, which think aids students' comprehension. Also provides commentary and analysis.
Desperate to introduce this at my school! Just one of many exciting initiatives being implemented by this school. Intrigued to hear how it progresses. #DEAL#dropeverythingandlisten#literacy#reading

NQTs have asked for some further training on differentiation/ teaching pupils with SEND. Think I will plan the training session around this fantastic resource.
High-quality teaching for pupils with SEND
Teachers should develop a repertoire of strategies they can use flexibly in response to individual needs and use them as the starting point for classroom teaching for all pupils, including those with SEND.

Been asked what's one quick win I've had this term. The biggest impact has been crossing out 'present' in the literature questions (sometimes 'describe' in Lang) and replacing it with non-neutral verbs. Anyone else tried this?
This has made my head swim (in a good way) and after just a few chapters already wishing I'd learned about this years ago #edutwitter#researchEd#directinstruction
We've been asked by a HOD to gather thoughts on a whole GCSE year group doing the same Lit text.
Their SLT want all in dpt to be teaching the same Lit texts mainly for tracking progress.
HoD is Interested in what other schools do & why, pls elaborate your reasons.
