@marcuschown That is lucky for her pts but not always the case. We tried desperately to control a patient with a dead bowel’s pain. She screamed in agony as we gave more and more IV meds. The dilemma became between her getting to say good bye to family in pain or intubate her.
@Parkerlawyer Depends on the airport. Parking, TSA, distance to the gate etc vary widely. Assuming you need to be there by 5 am to find the right lot and get on the parking shuttle it sounds like no later than 3:30 am. Don’t forget time to get coffee & breakfast as well.
@ExtremeArturo @Sunshin27001268 @jcaze73 If you are in the US that is not normal. 12 refills is standard. With some higher risk pts, which you are, some will only give 6 months of refills. But with the exception of controlled substances you should not have to contact them monthly.
@nursekelsey I am broken. I just don’t know if I have the energy to fight anymore. And what’s worse, how many others will feel the same? We are a nation in decline.
@EastCoastCool_@NicCurry4@djprohaska She didn’t get away with it. She was investigated by the FBI, put on the no fly list & had her career damaged for years.
@Komaniecki_R I thought it was weird when my sister & her husband started it. Now, I find it so useful - but most for the have you left work, are you done with that meeting or appt stuff, are you still at the store so I can text first something I forgot to put on the list. Boring but so nice!
@deestiv A Kroger store is our closest but more and more we are driving across town to a place that is cheaper, no apps, store membership card, or coupons required.
@journalsentinel Feeding kids is a no brainer. Hungry children don’t perform well and many families are struggling. Our children are grown now but happy to pay a small amount to ensure all Wisconsin children have enough to eat!
@nelsonstrength @BowTiedYukon It’s part of injury prevention which is a social responsibility of those of us in healthcare. Having a gun in the home greatly increases a child’s risk of injury. The goal is not to take aways guns but to simply start a conversation about safe firearm storage.
@RNSuperHero Also look at registry abstraction services - for programs like chest pain, open heart, trauma, stroke. You don’t get to do as much critical thinking but sometimes after years of bedside that is a nice change of pace.
