The AI Wars Have Begun, They Have
1/ Many of you may not be watching AI development as closely so I'd like to share some of my opinions and insights, for whatever they may worth. Please feel free to challenge/disagree for a more productive discussion.
First, the battlefield as I see it. Some may view AI as a commercial endeavor with competitors like @AnthropicAI@GeminiApp@OpenAI competing for market share for token consumption. Others may see a geopolitical playing field like China vs. the US. What I see is entirely different, it's Proprietary vs. Open Source (P v. O).
@BCBacker I understand your comments around the FLR distribution. I suspect since you last looked at it, Flare has developed immensely. It is now the biggest venue for XRP DeFi in the EVM world.
I’d really welcome the chance to talk you through what has been built, what is being built, what is happening on chain and where the future might take us.
I understand the pessimism of people that are not at the coal face everyday. A few things:
1) We are in a bear market for BTC and a deep bear market for alts. Flare has been inline with this - evidenced through consistency in CMC rankings the entire time.
2) I made some projections for FXRP size last year that were based on Firelight fully launching early this year, together with institutional participation. Bullish markets are like oxygen in this industry - when markets are buoyant everyone moves quickly and deals get done fast but when markets are weak no one wants to spend money and making deals happen is like wading through tar. Both things will happen but the bear market together with a host of other things have made players in the industry move more slowly.
3) There is more going on with Flare than at any point in the past. There are more users and thanks to FSA far greater distribution. FXRP remains the standard by which to deploy XRP and earn on it. We hope to replicate the same with FBTC. Growth has been slower than desired but everything is in place for when the broader market turns around.
4) Internally we are getting far higher inbounds both for immediate FXRP usecases, enquiries around utilising FBTC and perhaps most interestingly - other uses that Flare can offer. People want to use Flare not just for FXRP & FBTC - there is real demand for its data and privacy capabilities. We are building things in response to demand in areas that we had previously dismissed as far too hard to compete in - directly led by demand. These things will consolidate Flare’s position as a superior data network and that of FXRP as the preeminent version of XRP across chains. Potentially this will also apply to FBTC.
5) From DeFi for non smart contract tokens, to data, to compute and privacy Flare offers one of the best platforms out there for building great things. We build for the future of finance and AI that is coming.
When the broader market turns around Flare will be very well placed to capitalise on it.
With FIP16 in place the benefits to the community of that turn around will compound far more.

@jungleincxrp Flare is more alive than ever. Utility has never been higher and Flare 2.0 is right around the corner. The price sucks, so people think price down must be something wrong.
@kwok_phil I think your right they can definitely coexist. To me memes are like a proto idea capital raise. Its one of the fastest ways to raise money for an ideal. Its not a company or stock, and its differrent from the utility that a true crypto brings.
None of these things sound remotely like a crypto. If crypto is not an investment contract, its not a security. Unless congress writes rules saying it is a security, id say Judge Torres pretty much said XRP isnt a security. I dont know why your claiming the world misread her clear statements. Your either delusional or dishonest.
Kweather and Flare are collaborating on a pilot bringing weather data on-chain.
One of South Korea's leading weather big-data platforms plans to record meteorological data through Flare's oracle infrastructure, with verifiable records from the point of recording, and built for climate finance.
How do we know XRP Holders made a difference in the @Ripple XRP case?
First, Judge Torres cited the amicus brief I filed. But to be fair, she cited other amicus briefs as well. Therefore, that, alone, is does not prove we made a difference.
Second, when ruling “XRP itself is not a security” Judge Torres cited to the nearly 4K XRP holder affidavits I submitted in the case. Out of the thousands of exhibits submitted in the case overall, in her final summary judgment decision, she only cited to several dozens exhibits. XRP holder affidavits was one of those exhibits.
Three, in Footnote 16, Judge Torres cited to the oral argument exchange between myself and the Federal Judge in the @LBRYcom case, related to secondary market sales of digital assets.
Finally, in my amicus brief, I specifically asked the court to affirmatively declare XRP itself not a security - as it is nothing more than digital code - and even if Ripple had marketed, packaged and sold XRP as a security - under certain specific circumstances - the token itself was nothing more than code - just as beavers, gold, condominiums, chinchillas and orange groves - all once sold as securities - themselves - were not.
Congrats! 🎉🎊🍾
I used to think Bitcoin Maxis like @NatBrunell@LynAldenContact were just uninformed. I don't now. I think it's intentional misdirection. Nobody can be this uninformed.
We both want bad actors held accountable. The difference is I’m working on solutions, you’re shouting into the void hoping the status quo fixes itself.
Sec. 303 enables new crypto sanctions on Iran.
Sec. 305 lets exchanges stop illicit funds before they reach North Korea.
Nearly 3 million SWC advocates are counting on their Senators to deliver on crypto legislation.
The Senate is back from recess on July 13. The deadline is August 7.
No more delays. Schedule the vote for Clarity.
The impersonation problems on https://t.co/5UASHKU2Cb are so bad it gives me an idea:
Start an X organisation.
Allow people to stake some amount of money - say $25k
Use the FDC and conventional means to prove credentials.
This allows you to receive an affiliate badge on X.
Lose the stake via a governance process that votes on wrongdoing.
Imperfect but it’s got to be better than what we have today.
🔥BULLISH: XRP'S TOKENIZED ASSETS EXPLODE PAST $4 BILLION
The value of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on the XRP Ledger has skyrocketed from $150 million to over $4 BILLION in just one year, driven by accelerating institutional adoption, expanding payment infrastructure, and strong spot XRP ETF inflows.
The network now hosts 500+ tokenized products, while wallet growth and institutional participation continue to surge.
