Our Cell paper appeared today: "Time resolution in cryo-EM using a PDMS-based microfluidic chip assembly and its application to the study of HflX-mediated ribosome recycling"
“This paper is the first comprehensive description of our highly successful time-resolved cryo-EM technology, combined with a detailed account of the most recent results obtained with this technique in studying the molecular mechanism of HflX-mediated ribosome recycling.”

From Frank lab, a Cell paper today on time-resolve cryo-EM (TRCEM) method, with new chip design + biol. application: short-lived intermediates of the recycling process ...... Thanks to @OliBClarke @LomvardasLab for early postings.
-- New chip, described in detail + biol. application: intermediates of the recycling process, at 10, 25, 140 ms, with the ribosome opening up like a clamshell while bridges are severed, one by one.
Thanks to @FrankLabCUMC & @adesgeorges for their efforts in educational outreach during our annual winter course. They are training the next generation of cryoEM practitioners.
@SEMC_NYSBC: Providing #cryoEM expertise & resources for understanding molecular & cellular structures
Thank you Consul General David Gill @GermanyNY and Ms. Sheila Shrivastava for inviting us on behalf of @UniCologne to the stimulating conversation last night with two (!) @NobelPrize Laureates Prof. Martin Chalfie & Prof. @joachimfrank, & @ARDnewyork's @AntjePassenheim!
Consul General Gill hosted a salon night with two Nobel laureates in cooperation with @lindaunobel. The highlight of the evening was a conversation with Nobel laureates Martin Chalfie and @joachimfrank moderated by @AntjePassenheim.
The hard-working @RubinsteinJohn lab @SickKidsNews is at it again! The newly released raw data of https://t.co/FGozWY1TEX reveals endogenous mammalian V-ATPase interactions by #cryoEM. Published @LiSciAlliance (https://t.co/Yp5kUV8dQy). #EMPIAR
Amazing ventilation yesterday at #JF80 all day, both in the auditorium and in the coffee break/lunch room. CO2 levels w/Aranet4. Left my hotel room, right taxi ride (!) end of day. Those levels are very good. Kudos to the organizers on wonderful science and a safe environment!
