even with a minimal x input of 1 or 2 the jump height will still be lower, so it might be that the stick is too "loose" and won't reset fully to 0

with proper reactions yoshi can take stocks off of parry and double jump armour really consistently

it's very hard to pull off but more and more people are showing it can be done as everyone has gotten better at the game
