THE NEED TO FUND THE ONGOING STAND FOR OUR PARENTS CAMPAIGN.
The UN Security Council Meeting to delibetate on the future of the ICTR/IRMCT Mechanism was expected to be held on the last June 25th. It was no where to be seen deliberating on that matter. It was officially shifted to a later date of June 29th. Nothing again, for the second time.
We still believe and maintain our hope that the SC IRMCT Session will eventually take place and settle this protracted judiciary case once and for all.
We really hope it take place, the sooner the better. For at stake, the lives of our people are involved.
Meanwhile, we really hope the UN is not at it again. Because, we rest on unpleasant precedent.
In this regard, many of you might still remember the memorable case in which a former ICTR convict was once acquitted. But it took years to be granted the right to be resettled in a place where they could fully enjoy their rights.
Why wait so many years to enjoy the released after acquittal rights?
The UN may at times be very slow at getting in rescue of people in need. It doesn't matter whether in EMERGENCY NEED. They can be excruciatingly slow and lame. Diplomacy matters.
That is why well-built and organized military systems often times end up poking fun at the UN problem-solving approaches. Trust it, at your own risk. You may die waiting for their answer. But I hope the institution grew to get better. So, there's still hope for reprieve.
So let's hope this time round, the plight of our people having been lingering in half-detention living conditions might be felt strong enough to prod the ribs of powerful decision-makers well comfortable in the warmth of the UN seats over there.
We are in bad need of the incoming UN decision. Because our people have been suffering lots of human burden mistakes. And the UNSC has all power to put an end to it.
Meanwhile, our people, most of them in very old age, the average being now 71 years, need support. All kind of support possible. They have been through a lot. The impact of harm they were subjected to may take years to fully express. So your help comes to avert the predictable evil in the making.
That is why, we urge all of you to support. To come to the rescue of still living souls whose lives continue to be at risk. Due to other people who care less. But which continue to believe all hope is not yet lost. It's the heavy legacy they have carried with theme. Ther indomitable resilience.
But with each day and time elapsing, exposure to danger increases the threat of a likely life waiting to shrink even furthermore.
Please help. Please support. Please fund this campaign so that the voiceless voices avoid the scheduled moves to let them die alone and atones.
Please prove the the Biblical Rich Man Jesus referred to may not have the last word.
Please support and help our people contemplate the possibility for one day to have the last laugh. As we we wait the UN to do their job they keep on postponing to tomorrow. As if it was someone else's responsibility.
Please support, in any capacity you can. The people waiting under the IRMCT Mechanism have in part kept faith and hope, relying on more humane gestures against all odds.
We believe our people will enjoy a better future, thanks to your support.
Please fund our campaign.

Our parents were tried by international criminal justice. Some remain detained after decades, far from their families. Others, acquitted, survive in Niger with no status or protection: four of the eight there are already dead.
No transfer to Rwanda without consent. A dignified solution before 31 December 2026.

1st July. Still no answer. The Security Council has yet to decide the Mechanism's future, and our parents remain without any guarantee. Our message stands: Rwanda must not be an option. Solutions exist. The fight continues. #StandForOurParents#SFOP#DroitsHumains#HumanRights@UN@unirmct
1er juillet. Toujours pas de réponse. Le Conseil de sécurité n'a toujours pas décidé de l'avenir du Mécanisme, et nos parents restent sans garantie. Appeal to members of the UN Security Council to oppose the Rwanda's plea to take custody of the detainees of the former ICTR tribunal, now IRMCT and related archives ahead of the Security Council Meeting slated for June 25th.

Please stand up and raise voices with us to appeal and urge members of the UN Security Council to nullify the plea to keep the former ICTR tribunal archives and take custody of all persons convicted, acquitted or released by the ICTR, including those cleared of all charges. Because it simply violates international laws and it puts the UN Security System in an awkward position where the eventually System proves to be working against its own resolutions.
As families of the detainees and acquitted persons, the Stand For Our Parents Movement is committed to raising our voices with an aim to mobilize you all Rwandans, friends of Rwanda and many other supporters around the world so that together we send a strong appeal message to the members of the UN Security Council and urge them to categorically reject the plea by the Government of Rwanda to take the detainees of the former ICTR tribunal and together with all related judiciary archives.
In virtue of established international laws, failing to do so the UN Security Council proves to be liable of infringing the very rules by which it claims to remain relevant as a highly reputable UN institution.
Therefore, we formally oppose their transfer (deportation) to Rwanda for the following underlying motives:
Granting Rwanda the right and privileges to take them would not only be a blatant violation of the principles of international laws but most importantly it would send a signal that the UN Security Council is disavowing its own Resolution 2740 (2024) and the IRMCT own directive of May 07, 2025.
As a matter of fact, numerous credit worthy Human Rights Organizations have in recent years pointed out grave concerns about the persistent state of blunt violation of human rights in Rwanda including enforced disappearance, extrajudicial arrests and incarcerations and violation of fundamental human freedoms. Amnesty International (2024) and the Human Rights Watch (2025).
It is in this context that we strongly object for the transfer of our people to Rwanda merely because there are well-founded fears their transfer to Rwanda would be a violation of the principles of non-refoulement, the principle of informed consent and the "Non bis in dem" principle which prohibits to try or punish a person twice for the same acts, also popularly known as the double jeopardy situation. Else, suffices it to recall that Rwanda remains one of the parts to the still non resolved conflict. Therefore, this disqualifies the country as a neutral part that can be entrusted with the current judiciary cases of the detainees once the UN IRMCT mechanism is over.
Besides, in regard of the reality of the flawed justice system prevailing in Rwanda, Stand For Our Parents (SFOP) Movement defends that Rwanda currently does not fulfill the required conditions to be granted this right. There are justified fears that the detainees would be exposed to inhuman treatment and degrading life conditions consistent with available reports produced by numerous reputable human rights organizations.
Consequently, we urge members of the UN Security Council to nullify any proceedings whatsoever aimed at granting Rwanda the right to host both the IRMCT detainees and judiciary archives.
Please stand up with us and help us raise the awareness about the plight of the IRMCT detainees and advocate for the improvement of their current living conditions as the relevant UN bodies statute for their ultimate fate going forward.
Please RE-TWEET to as many friends and supporters as possible.
NEVER GIVE UP.
The international justice has among other missions to warrant the application of a fair and effective judiciary system. This makes it possible to enforce peacefu cohabitation among nations. Never should organs of the UN System be suspected or raise misgivings as to its ability to protect and enforce working justice system around the world.
Yet in one letter addressed to one of the UN branches with a mandate to run the operations of the ICTR and IRMCT warns that a 'one-sided justice for the Victor' approach which the UN organs has been applying on the Rwandan detainees, especially by failing to prosecute the other part to the Rwandan conflict, might prove to be a threat to the projected reconciliation thus jeopardizing even the future promises of the Rwandan community as whole.
That said, the fight must linger on until justice is served for our people who faced off with unimaginable false testimonies against their persons and who had to bear with a horrifying long period of unfathomable misunderstanding, isolation and suffering.
The 'the' Hague's international body habilitated to facilitate the emergence of fair judiciary outcomes aligned with pleas clearly formulated by the IRMCT detainees and addressed to the different mandated UN branches is but urged to listen to and immediately act on recriminations publicly raised thus far the detainees.
In virtue of available well-documented humanitarian reports about systematic violation of fundamental and political freedoms on Rwanda, it remains quite a shocking reckoning that Rwanda has not yet been sidelined at international level as an unreliable, rogue, dangerous and life as well business threatening state to avoid working with by any means.
The upcoming June 25th Security Council meeting is an opportunity for the international rule-based system to declare that the world has had enough of a regime which for many years only survived by hoodwinking unheeding the Western world.
As a matter of fact, it could be proven that Rwanda succeeded because it leveraged falsehoods, blackmailing , intimidation and outright terror to buy international recognition.
The Rwandan regime has gone to frightening extra miles to terrorize everyone.

We are at the Hague, Netherlands to protest against the upcoming June 25th UN Security Council deliberations likely to favor Rwanda, thus delivering a sentence condemning our parents forever.
This would deal another deadly blow to people who have been under extremely severe punishment conditions for a period spanning many decades in part due to failings of the fomer ICTR tribunal for Rwanda and the institution that took over its operations, IRMCT.
Many declarations, open letters, press releases and memorandums have been published to clearly expose the the appalling injustice facing our people under the IRMCT Mechanism.
Our presence at the Hagues aims to be a stark reminder that we still have hope and trust the UN Security Council can now grant justice to our people, by deciding to not fall again under Rwanda's trichery claims of offering a better safe haven alternative for our people.
The UN SC must not fall again under Rwanda ruse as it always did in the past by failing to investigate and prosecute the crimes of the Rwanda regime.
We reiterate our strong opposition to deportations to Rwanda.
Rwanda is not an option. Justice must be served for our people. Sending our people to Rwanda is validating the dark schemes harboured by Rwanda to subject our people to perpetual condemnation.
We request justice to be served. We request the UN SC to fully recognize the plight and rights of our people and act accordingly.
