@GoblinWeenog@ajsupahiya@DarekZabrocki Mate AI is very limited in terms of creativity, it tricks you into thinking you made something cool. When really, you had an idea and a computer gave you a cool but flawed image that was close enough to make you happy. That is not human expression.
@ajsupahiya@DarekZabrocki We will not be the last generation of artists. It's part of the human experience, creating art is never going away. AI will have a massive impact on the commercial side yes. But it won't stop people learning to make art.
@danielwarren86 Honestly I just think AI images are a totally different thing. I think anyone who gets into making them will soon realise prompting isn't enough, there's just so many different conversations to be had around the technology.
@MettoolMan @AxelCas1378@T1kosewad@oimo_0imo Scarey isn't it. Who knows? the collapse of capitalism. But one thing I'm certain of is there will always be artists. It's in our blood, doesn't matter what AI can make.
@shitpostwoolag@AxelCas1378@T1kosewad@oimo_0imo I disagree, it will be used in production. But certainly not as final work. Artists will always have a place. AI can make some cool images, and it's fun to play with. But art is a lifelong persuit and it's fueled by real passion to understand the world. They can't replace that.
@andrewpprice The original stand on art station was against AI flooding art station (to keep the site a place for clients to find professional artists). Not against AI art in general. ( But things get confused in the mass voice of the internet.)
@Fluidfox1@Sakura_Rabbiter It's because art station is used by employers to find artists for their projects. If the site does not facilitate that connection between an artist and client it's pointless being on it. If it's flooded with AI art artstation is done really.
@TaraSolbrig@wokuspokuspoo@Sakura_Rabbiter "AI artists" have no legal recourse for someone selling copies of their entire galleries. Because they technically never created the work.
Genuine question, what stops anyone using or selling someone else's #AIart, because good luck trying to prove you created those images. Meaning companies can probably steal them for free? The way I see it the merky water goes both ways?
@maltedmilkshaky@AutoGiraffe@MegZavala Because being an artist is a lifelong personal journey. Wether it's your job or your hobby. For me it doesn't really matter what AI can do. There was already a million artists that can put my work to shame. Art for me runs deeper than that.
