The amount of rain we had last week was extreme by any stretch—we can expect more intense storms that test dams and infrastructure over the next decade. The partial dam breach on the Yantic River in the Norwich area was a frightening glimpse of what may be on the horizon.

Alligator moms = original helicopter parents. Unlike most reptiles, young alligators spend 2-3 years hanging around their mom's territory so that she can keep an eye on them.

A historic day for Colorado and for the first time ever — we released 5 wolves, 3 males and 2 females, in Grand County today.
Captured in Oregon, the wolves were evaluated by our veterinarians & biologists, fitted with GPS collars & transported to Colorado for their release.
We completed the mapping of Lake Tanganyik's Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) - 22 in all - to guide our effort to conserve 30% of the KBAs by 2030.
